Our family had a great time on this tour! The docent at the house was very knowledgeable and kind, engaging in conversation and patiently answering our questions. We especially enjoyed the fact that we were able to self guide and roam the property. The back garden was especially nice. We highly recommend the tour and museum.

Knowledgeable staff. The house and grounds plus the view of the water are worth the stop.

Definitely one of the best history/museum tours I have experienced. From Gift Shop manager to Tour Guide, to Chief Historian to Archivist, all staff at Beauvoir are truly passionate about the history and the preservation of this incredible place. I learned so much! My house tour was fabulous and I highly suggest asking questions as these guides are very knowledgeable and not just reciting a script. Further, one of the very nice things about this experience is, a lot of it is self-guided - you can go inside, you can walk outside in the cemetery and in the gardens. And, you can always find staff to answer your questions or simply wish you well if you prefer to be on your own. Very easy to book tickets online, very easy to get to, but, beyond all the traditional review items, truly a worthwhile experience. And, most importantly, a part of our American history that should not be brushed aside.

I love history; Beauvoir IS history. Putting together that ambience with a highly-knowledgeable docent makes for a wonderful experience. We'll be back.

We learned a lot about this man and his family, along with his history and writings. He was very talented and an educated man. Only wish the place had more money and support to build this historical site up. It's history and you cannot destroy history like so many want too, and at times seem to accomplishing.
