Awesome experience - Harry Potter shop was amazing the staff in there are were so helpful, they helped assist a lady I assist with learning difficulties. They helped her feel relaxed and understood, they made her dreams of becoming a real member of Slytherin come true

Magical Experience at Harry Potter New York – Don’t Miss the Extras! - You don’t need a booking just to visit the Harry Potter New York store, but if you do book in advance, you get the chance to enjoy the broom ride and a cup of Butterbeer — and trust me, it’s worth it! I left with some truly magical memories from this experience. :)

A must - If you love Harry Potter this is a must stop. They have all the things. They have each character’s wand, an array of clothing mugs etc for each house plus they even have stuff from all the schools in the tri wizard tournament. The beer is delicious. Skip the cookies- not so great. But a lady told me the happy birthday Harry cake is good.

Celebratory Surprise - Took my wife a Harry Potter fan here as a little celebration surprise. It’s a nice store with plenty of option to browse and shop. The only thing that would add to the experience would be more interactive things to do. Otherwise we had a great time.

Cool but wish it could have been more fun - It felt a bit rushed like the staff had better things to be doing. They were nice but it felt very automatic and formulaic to me, instead of a fun experience. Do this then this then this. Very technical instead of making it a fun immersive experience. Most of my pictures are the same shot green screened over different backgrounds, which looks dumb when I'm smiling with the dark arts behind me and the same smile with the knight bus. Would have been nice to have atleast 2 versions for the different styles. It wasn't even busy, I was the only one in there when I went. It did pick up as I was leaving. I don't regret doing it, just wish it had been more fun with better pictures.

Fair and necessary - The photos were good quality, they provide you with a suit and a wand. The store staff is friendly but not everyone knows where to guide those with tickets. Nor could they tell us that lard beer was included in the package, we knew it because we had read it at the time of paying for the experience by this means. Scanning the entrance to the cafeteria they proved it was included and there was no problem
Compared to previous experience (VR) I had higher expectations

Would of been easier to purchase there - I purchased this to make it easy and it was anything but. No one at the store knew what to do with it and needed to look for help. Didn’t save me any time.

Not worth of time and money - This is not worth the price. It’s not an experience I would recommend. 5 minutes of taking stages pictures and video. It used to be fun with VR glasses - now it’s not fun. Staff was kinda of pushy and I was under impression they wanted to have it done asap. I’d file a claim for a refund if there’s a way

Disappointment all around! - I had to book through the TripAdvisors app because the Harry Potter store does not have a phone number for the public to call and because the website does not allow you to book through it. We planned the trip to the city around the date we booked this through TripAdvisor and upon arrival learned that the experience was closed. The store had no contact there and advised that it was done through a 3rd Party. We would not have gone to the city that day had we known the ride was not available. Now I am awaiting TripAdvisor’s response on my refund request, which should be more than simply the cost of the experience. They should have had direct contact with their experience to let their customers know that the experience was no up and running. Taking a busy day to go to the city only to take what should be a happy experience into dealing with disappointed kids is not okay because their clients (the experience) do not communicate with TripAdvisor. Regardless, hope TripAdvisor does the right thing and not only refunds us, but addresses their client, as well.
