We booked a private afternoon tour for five because we had a dinner scheduled and couldn't make the evening tours. I'm so glad we did! 'Private' did not mean more expensive, it just meant more personal! We had Charlie the tour guide all to ourselves, and the tour was wonderful. Charlie is a master storyteller. He can help you picture the past until it comes alive around you, and get to know the people he is talking about as if they are in front of you and old and dear friends. He has a great respect for the past, and an empathy for the people he describes. It was a great ghost tour and also a great history lesson. His stories of the past and the vibrant people that lived in old town Albuquerque will stick with me for a long time. I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you are looking for something fun and interesting to do in Albuquerque, this is it. Don't miss it! And ask for Charlie!
