It was great. I loved going at night. With the limited lighting, you get a great feel for the place. We plan to visit again once the museum is up and running. Seeing "Sparky" will complete the tour. Thanks to everyone. The staff was very accommodating.
Tour guides are knowledgeable and fun. Great time! Can't wait to go back!
A great tour. Highly recommend it!
Ron did a great tour. Good balance of history and paranormal (including investigation tools/techniques). During the walk I was able to hear things, see some shadows, and captured a couple of large orbs on camera. I'm definitely interested in coming back for a public/private ghost hunt overnight.
You never know who you might run into.
the tour guide was really good with many stories and the atmosphere was good.
Was hoping for a little more history on the building and more ghost stories of things that have happened in the building.
We had a great experience everything surpassed our expectations. The history and spookiness of the prison were excellent. Ron was very knowledgeable and made the experience that much better.
I thought we would see more.
Very interesting and fun. Will def be back again!
The staff and facility are amazing! "Puff daddy" is the best tour guide ever. We had him for our tour in the summer. Even though we didn't get him this time as our tour guide, he still made an effort to come say "hi" to us and make us feel welcome. Everyone we met made us feel like the Reformatory is our 2nd home. I can't wait to come back and visit in October. I tell everyone I know to come visit
Incredible staff that made the tour more enjoyable. We will definitely return.
My husband and I really enjoyed the ghost walk. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this or any other tours offered.
Our tour guide, Keith, was fantastic. I loved hearing about his own personal ghostly experiences at the Reformatory. We are definitely coming back for a private ghost walk in the near future!
Lots of wonderful information about the reformatory's past & personal experiences of the guides
Awesome time. Great tour guide. Will take ghost tour again in the future.
The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. It's was a very unique and enjoyable experience.
Your website needs updated because on line, it says if you purchase more than one tour on one day you get a discount. We paid full price for all three tours. The best tour and tour guide was Behind the Scenes. The gal who guided the Hollywood tour rarely made eye-contact with the group, looking instead either at the walls behind, or the ceiling above, us. I found the Ghost Walk a waste of money. It was basically the same route with the lights out and a few stories. Group was way too big, noisy, flashes and such. At that price, they should be limited. I bought the book, Inmates Speak Out which is interesting but very difficult to read as there are no paragraph breaks or indentations. Terrible type-setting. I am glad I visited the reformatory. It was interesting and quite sobering to tour.
It was awesome thank you
The tour guide was amazing. The reformatory was just amazing!
Ghost walk was so informative and fun. Our guide really knew some great facts and stories and we even caught a orb on camera! We're novices at all of this but it looks like we'll be back! Beautiful architecture, also. All around a really great experience.
I absolutely love the Reformatory. The ghost walk was my third time visiting, and it was a fabulous tour. I believe Brenda was our guide, and it is apparent that she enjoys her position at the Reformatory. I was jealous of her many stories of encounters. I did not experience anything notable, but I do feel like I could sense different energy. I will be back, and hopefully will be able to experience my own encounter! Thank you for a great time!
This was great. I learned a lot about the site and, most importantly for a ghost walk, I learned a lot about where ghosts like to hide out. I'll definitely be back but maybe during the day because the only down side to doing a ghost walk is you can't see some things that are interesting.
Was hoping to see the whole building!
It was a great birthday present from my husband. I got some great orbs and faces in the windows as I took pictures from the outside. Absolutely great time.
Beautiful setting, interesting information.
our tour guide keith was amazing! we have toured during the day but it has been a very long time, so I thought we would try the night time one. we will be back soon.
It was exactly what I expected. I grew up in Mansfield and had visited the Reformatory on class field trips. I had not been there for many years. I would have enjoyed it even without the ghost experience. Ten years ago my son was a production assistant on the movie "THE DEAD MATTER". Part of it was filmed at the Reformatory. He told us a little bit about the spirits there and I had to find out for myself.
thank you for our guided tour of the prison, we had an amazing time, wasn't expecting it to be filled with history of the prison, was very satisfied and loved our tour guide, he was great. we cant stop talking about it to each other and our friends, will definentley be coming back. and with friends. thanks for the great time.
This was a great tour! Full of history and a little bit of spooky to boot. Our guide was professional, entertaining, but serious about his role as our guide and an investigator in the paranormal. And you could tell he loved this old building and wanted to save it. I'm planning on coming back for a daylight tour the next time my family and I come through!

This was an awesome adventure. The staff was friendly, the stories were entertaining and the prison itself was an amazing structure rich with history. The less than excellent rating was really aimed toward the lack of organization on the staff. There was a 10 minute late / delay in opening the gate for admission. I'm sure these tours have been ongoing for years but it certainly seemed like the folks in charge that night had not been privy to the process. All in all, We would visit again in the daylight where more of the prison can be viewed. Thanks for a great experience.
Friendly and informative staff. Very interesting place to visit!
I came with my 3 sons and a friend. We had a wonderful time! Keith and Jason were our guides. Keith was the main guide and he was awesome. His stories and accounts were informative and highly interesting! Even though Jason was not our main guide, we took many opportunities to talk to him. Jason was also full of stories that we found enjoyable ( I'm glad that we talked with him also)! We had close to a 3 hour drive home and I kept hearing how everyone wants to come back for an overnight ghost hunt and to visit the upcoming museum. So... We WILL be seeing you again soon!!! Thank you SO much!
