I found out about the Diamante Overnight Experience in a Costa Rica guidebook and I'm so glad I looked into it because it is a one-of-a-kind adventure! The views are incredible and there truly is nothing like sleeping behind a waterfall. I was also very impressed by the food that was served and, as a vegetarian, I appreciated the meatless meals. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think it would be helpful if campers had a bit more information to help them prepare for what they're getting into. Although the hike is not very long, it is extremely steep (and this is coming from someone who hikes 14ers back home in Colorado) so a heads up would be helpful. And while sleeping in open air was amazing, I do think it would be nice to have the option to use mosquito nets or some other kind of covering. My husband and I struggled to sleep because the sleeping bags were very warm, but we were worried about exposing ourselves to insects and bats so we didn't get must rest that night. Other than those points, we had a great time and definitely would recommend if you're looking for something different!

A unique experience, worth the money. Would improve food, dinner was a bit disappointing... they promote local food and then they serve pasta with tomato sauce :( I don't recommend taking this tour with young kids, they get tired and bored.
