I felt like the value wasn't equal to what I paid. The food was alright, the drinks were alright, but I felt like I could have got more for the money at a really nice restaurant, and didn't discover anything that I would go back to. I've done food/drink tours in Portland and Park City that were really engaging and fun. I think part of my issue was that we only stopped at 4 places, where most tours I've done in the past stop at 5 or 6 for very small bites/samplers, and had more history of the neighborhood/craft behind the food or drink/etc as part of the experience. The first hour of the tour just felt reaaaally slow... we spent forever introducing ourselves, and then stayed at West of Pecos for what felt like a really long time. At one point, the tour went through the intersection of Mission and 16th, and a homeless lady followed us for two blocks begging for money and being really unpleasant. While this isn't exactly the tour's fault, I think it would be a good idea to avoid intersections like Mission and 16th that are always busy and have more homeless people than other areas. This experience left me with a bad feeling at the last stop of the tour, and even after it ended. I hate to write bad reviews, especially for companies that are small and independent, but I did feel disappointed after our tour, especially because it was a Christmas gift to my boyfriend. My advice would be to stop at 1-2 more places (maybe just have smaller portions at each stop), and avoid the 16th/Mission area for future tours.
