Highlights

Please check in to our office at 335 N. Cache in Jackson 1/2 hour before your trip time. After checking in you will have access to restrooms and dressing rooms to prepare for your trip. Once your bus departs our office, it takes about 35 minutes to reach the “put-in” at West Table Creek Ramp on the Snake River. There are dressing rooms and pit toilets at the ramp. In most cases, the guides will already be at the ramp to meet you and help you get into your gear, including life jackets and free, optional splash jackets. After your ramp orientation, you will launch and begin your 8-mile trip on the river. These 8 miles can take anywhere from just under an hour at high water to two hours very late in the season, depending on flows. Once at the take-out you walk up to your bus which will be parked near the restrooms and dressing rooms. There, you can retrieve dry clothing and change before riding back to Jackson. The bus ride home takes about 45 minutes.

Whitewater rafting was awesome even in the colder month!!! - Jackson's Green River was breathtaking and the rafting tour was thrilling and beautiful. There were plenty of wet suits for people of all shapes and sizes and the great company on the raft made you forget about the cold and snow during this time of year. The raft guide was knowledgeable and you can tell he loved his job. Absolute recommend.

Lots of fun! - Lots of fun. Benjamin was a great guide. Water was bloody freezing and the positions at the bow of the raft ensured we got plenty of it. Saw a bald eagle!

Unprofessional, chaotic office - guides saved the experience but would never book here again. - Pros: Our guides Mitch and Alex were very knowledgeable and communicative. They knew a lot about the geology of the area and did a great job teaching and directing the group while navigating the river. They basically saved the experience for us, we had a great time as soon as we were off the bus and in the water. Cons: - Extremely disorganized, chaotic office. Nobody but the owner seemed to know where anything was. We had to approach the counter 3 different times to get a basic set of rental equipment and a GoPro rung up even though the barcodes for everything we needed were right next to the register. The staff admitted that only the owner knows how to do a GoPro rental and he decided to go on a walk in the middle of the work day. When he finally arrived, we got back in line for the third time and when we were at the front, he insisted on helping everyone behind us first because the 30-second explanation was "complicated", even though he literally spent more time snapping at his employees than explaining how the GoPro works. - Very limited wetsuit options. I'm a female powerlifter and have larger than average legs (pant size 8-10). The vast majority of wetsuits there were men's wetsuits with very slim legs that couldn't go past my calves. The staff just kept handing me taller and taller men's wetsuits with no extra room in the legs. There was only one wetsuit that fit and it was such a poor fit that the inseam was down by my thighs. If you're larger than a size 8 or have an hourglass/pear shaped body, there's no way this place will have a wetsuit for you. - Limited changing rooms, dirty/smelly bathrooms. They only have 4 changing rooms for groups as large as 40 people. I had to change into my wetsuit and river shoes on their dirty bathroom floor because there weren't enough changing rooms for everyone. Staff were encouraging people to change in the bathroom or outside in full view of a construction site maybe 15 feet away because there was a crowd waiting in front of the fitting rooms. - Dangerous driving, dirty bus. While in the middle of completing a turn, our driver Kim took both hands off the wheel to clap and fist-pump. To her credit, she did try to point out some landmarks but my window was so dirty and waterlogged I couldn't see outside. Honestly, we almost walked out but I'm glad that we endured the office and bus ride because once we were on the water, our guides gave us a truly memorable, safe, and fun experience. If I could hire the guides independently of this company I would do so again in a heartbeat. However, I will definitely be booking with Teton Water Tours, Mark Driscoll Water Tours, Mad River Tours, or any of the numerous other options in town before trying Lewis & Clark ever again.
