It was fun and a good experience. The staff (Red) was very informative, polite, knowledgeable, courteous and safety conscious. The people in our group who had not done escape rooms were very satisfied but the ones who had done them were kind of thinking, “ it was ok”. We did the Pirate escape room and we felt the lighting and fog were used to cover the lack of clues and direction and did not add to the experience. In fact, we had trouble seeing any clues. We also didn’t like the amount of distractors in the room. In all other escape rooms we were given a clue to work on, which led to other clue and so on. This room felt like it was very uncoordinated and very linear thinking to get to the end. I would have appreciated, with each clue, something like, “you have solved xyz clue and now you must solve abc clue. A fog horn just didn’t do it or give directions. A little direction would have been good. Also, in the balcony area, we could not see. We were told that we wouldn’t have to climb. We are all basically under 5’4” except for one of us. We needed that one person (and he had an eye disease) and several cell phone lights to see. The blood splatters were essentially useless compared to distractors. I would have liked more thinking puzzles or thinking exercises that the team could split and continue working on. Correct the lights, dim is not dark. Fog is ok but doesn’t need to stay. I wouldn’t book again but it was ok. I think it could have been great!! I wish you well, good luck and congratulations on hiring a wonderful employee.
