$230 per person so you can ROTATE reeling in a fish (IF you actually hook up) with the other 6 people. Only 3 poles in the water. Here’s an idea, only take out 3 fishermen if you’re only going to put 3 poles out. Total rip off, avoid at all costs, not just this boat but the whole scam of sport fishing on the over fished sound. No barbed hooks means your likely to lose the few small fish you might hook up.

I'm only choosing this because we did not encounter any bites or fish to speak of. Otherwise it was a good day on the water.

We ended up going with a group of five in the boat and there were only three poles to use on downriggers. While we understand that more people would cause lines to be crossed, it made it so that there wasn't much to do. In fact, there wasn't anything to do other than talk, eat, and drink (which is fun but not when you expect to be also doing the act of fishing). The guide was friendly and conversational, but he didn't indicate to any of us that we could touch the poles unless a fish was on the line. Even reeling in a small fish would have been better than doing nothing. Perhaps fishing for more than one type of fish would have made it so there was something for people to do. Unfortunately, we only caught one keeper coho, so only one of the five of us got to touch the rod over the course of four hours. One of the people in our group had never fished before in his life, and he, unfortunately, never got the chance to touch a rod. A little more information to the group prior to heading out would have been nice so we understood that some of us might not actually get to do the act of fishing. Overall, the experience was a boring four-hour ride in a boat. I would not recommend this company to anyone else.
