- Troll Wall - The Troll Wall is the tallest vertical mountain wall in Europe. According to legend, it is actually a petrified troll. But don’t worry, in daylight, trolls won’t be seen wandering around, as they would turn to stone, as the myth suggests. This history is shared during the tour, and visitors can admire the Troll Wall during a 15-minute photo stop.

The remarkable Trollstigen Road, with its 11 bends, ascends to the top of the Trollstigen plateau, 800 meters above sea level. Here, visitors can appreciate the architecture of the Visitor Center, complete with its water fountain and small bridges. For those seeking more excitement, the traffic spectacle can be observed from the ramp towering 200 meters above Trollstigen.

As you enter the stunning Rauma Valley, with the salmon-filled Rauma River and majestic mountains on either side, the journey leads to the first photo opportunity at the Trollwall.
After taking in the breathtaking mountain views, the journey continues towards Trollstigen. Enter the picturesque Isterdal Valley, where the remarkable “Trollstigen” serpentine road begins. The skilled coach driver will navigate 11 hairpin bends to reach the plateau, where another photo stop awaits. From a magnificent lookout, the entire view of this impressive mountain road unfolds, showcasing the surrounding peaks and the roaring Stigfossen waterfall. After an unforgettable experience atop Trollstigen, the route descends back to Åndalnes. Relax and enjoy the audio guide, which will share the history of Trollstigen and Åndalsnes on the return trip to the harbor.
