We celebrated my wife's birthday with our kids and had a wonderful time. The red course was challenging but we all managed to complete the course. I also really appreciate the military discount

My Wife and I both came to attempt the 4 adult courses knowing only what we had read from a few others. I'd say this courses are meant for people with at least fair fitness. We're kinda out of shape and had difficulty completing the final red course. It took all my energy to complete that last one. My Wife did a little better than me but she's much younger and lighter than me too. I also have a fused ankle which I was surprisingly able to work around. I would've been happy just doing the first 3 courses, but it's not in me to quit. I know I'd have to return if I didn't complete it, which honestly would've been fine. It's not that the 4th course is all that much more challenging, because it isn't. It's because I was already fairly fatigued before ever starting that final course. I just had to try and wasn't afraid to fail trying. The course Guides are all very helpful, kind, informative and watchful. I had to call for verbal help getting through 1 portion of the final red course because I didn't think I was doing it correctly, but I was and I just needed to know that I was safe to proceed. It seemed pretty scary until I tried and then it was totally fine. The fear was all in my mind and I was successful! All 4 courses took 4 hours to complete. The training portion felt like an hour, but it was probably only 45 minutes for several groups of us including getting everyone fitted in their harnesses. There wasn't too many transitions things that were easy. About a half dozen felt very difficult. Maybe a half dozen transitions felt fairly easy. The rest I'd describe at moderately challenging. They provide cheap cotton fingerless gloves for free. They're good enough. If I did it again, I'd probably want full finger grippy gloves to help a little bit extra. My forearms are what was failing on me more than anything, so if you have no problem with "wrist pump" like indoor climbing, you'll have no problem with these 4 courses. I'd recommend shoes with good arch support. I brought lightweight trail shoes and I wished I had brought something more heavy duty to support my arch transitioning the steel cables at 210lbs We got there at 8am and I'd recommend that to beat the heat which really isn't too terrible because there's lots of shade from the trees. They offer unlimited water for $4. We didn't get it and we regretted it a little. We had our own beverage, but it sure would've been nice to slam a few cool/cold waters out on the course. But I went cheap so we got to walk back which wasn't really a big deal. Still, just hey the water lol Even though we completed all 4 courses, we'll still probably go back in time for relationship building or helping friends that want to go and want help. I wish they sold annual or seasonal passes because I'd love to do these once a week to actually get into shape instead of barely being able to complete it. I really did consider quitting a few times. Very glad I pushed through the mental and physical stuff Would recommend anyone looking for a moderate to difficult challenge.
