A Journey Begins: The Lure of Kilimanjaro

As a wildlife photographer with a deep-seated love for Africa, the idea of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro had always been a distant dream. The Lemosho Route, known for its breathtaking vistas and pristine wildlife, seemed like the perfect path to take. With my camera in hand and a heart full of anticipation, I set off for Moshi, ready to embark on an adventure that promised not only to challenge my physical limits but also to deepen my connection with the continent I adore.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of the Altezza Travel team. The camaraderie among our group of six, supported by a dedicated team of 34, was heartwarming. Each member of the team played a crucial role, from Justin, our talented chef who kept us well-fed with delicious meals, to Loya, whose infectious energy and willingness to help made every day a little brighter.

Reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro was a moment of triumph, a culmination of days filled with effort, perseverance, and awe. Standing atop Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, I was overwhelmed by a sense of accomplishment and gratitude.
