Altezza, truly the best! - We are truly grateful for the extraordinary support and service provided by Altezza before, during & after our Mt Kilimanjaro expedition. The entire experience was made truly special because of the remarkable people who supported us every step of the way. Altezza’s guides, Godlove, Exaud and Musa showed exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and constant attention to our safety and well-being which made it possible for the group to make it to the summit. Altezza is simply the best! The amazing team of experienced guides, porters, camp master, chef, etc has such strength, resilience, and dedication that were truly humbling. Day after day, they carried heavy loads up the mountain, often arriving ahead of us to ensure camp was prepared and that we were comfortable and cared for. Despite the demanding and wet conditions, they did their work with warmth, kindness, and uplifting spirit. All of us have such immense respect and gratitude for the hard work they do. The safari tour post our hike did not disappoint too! Our safari guides Idrisa and Endrisha demonstrated remarkable knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and ecosystems of Tanzania. Their eagle eyes were truly astonishing with their ability to spot animals from afar, patiently track wildlife, and share insightful explanations which greatly enriched the safari experience. Each game drive felt like a discovery, and it was clear that the guides were deeply passionate about both nature and ensuring that we had a meaningful experience. To sum it up, Altezza’s dedication and attention to detail did not go unnoticed & you will not regret selecting them!

Trip of a lifetime with safety and comfort in mind - Absolutely incredible trip of a lifetime. Couldn’t imagine going with any other travel agency. We trusted our guides, Amos and Shabani, with our lives and felt like we were in such thoughtful and capable hands throughout. Our entire 23-member crew was extraordinary, and we wouldn’t have safely summited and descended without them. They went above and beyond in every way. Originally, I was planning on choosing a cheaper option, and I am SO GLAD I decided to choose Altezza. Not only was I incredibly well-cared for, but the 8 days were actually delightful, enjoyable, and as comfortable an experience as I could imagine! Highly recommend the personal toilet and having an individual tent — it made a world of difference! Altezza was worth every penny, and I would choose them again in a heartbeat. I hope I have the opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro with them again in the future! Thank you to all 23 members of our sensational crew!

Wonderful experience on Kilimanjaro - I chose Altezza Travel for my Kilimanjaro climb and I had a great experience. Organization and professionalism are their strongest points, from the moment you book, to when you arrive at the airport, and especially on the mountain. It’s no coincidence that everyone in our group reached the summit! Food was great, tents were comfortable and the team certainly supportive. Elia, Jackson, Diglan, William, Nickson, Daudi and Paolo were very kind and professional, although the whole team was excellent. I highly recommend Altezza Travel if you want to maximize your success rate and enjoy your climb!

Best in class experience - I successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route in 8 days. It was an amazing experience thanks to everyone at Altezza Travel. The guides : Richard (a true leader among leaders), Jackson (a calm and highly experienced guide), Moussa and Salim went above and beyond to support us in the best possible way. They made such a difference to my experience. Everyone was truly amazing and cared so much about me: Salma, Beata, Palanjo, Yan, Anthony, William, Humphrey — and a special thanks to Marwa, whom I will never forget. If you're still hesitating about climbing Kilimanjaro or choosing your operator, just do it. It’s a life-changing experience. And go with Altezza without any doubt.

The best lesson in courage and kindness - Wow, what an experience. I can safely say that climbing Kilimanjaro has changed my life in the most positive way. I have met people that I can only describe as guardian angels and have gained new depths of gratitude for the kindness, positivity and love displayed by the Altezza guides. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I was incredibly apprehensive to climb Mount Kilimanjaro but the knowledge, emotional intelligence and encouragement of the guides made this experience one of the most enriching I’ve had in my life. For reference, myself and my partner chose to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on the 8 day Lemosho route. After the first day of hiking (around 4 hours) and arriving at Mti Mkubwa Camp (2650m altitude), I was hit with altitude sickness symptoms - loss of appetite, diarrhoea and unable to sleep. I was completely in my head and anxious. I woke up after our first night’s sleep considering going home. I am so happy I did not as my symptoms got better with each day and upon reflection, think I can attribute many of these symptoms to anxiety. As I placed more trust in the guides and courage in myself, my experience only got better. I want to highlight a few people specifically: Elia, our Chief Guide - asante kaka. Elia’s leadership is truly inspiring. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the mountain, kind beyond measure and we all put our total trust in him to lead us to Uhuru Peak in challenging weather conditions (13cm snow on summit night). Everyday, we underwent two medical check ups and if we faced any altitude sickness, Elia asked us how we were feeling and treated any symptoms ASAP, he also briefed us for the next day’s hike so we always felt confident and safe. On summit night, Elia literally led me, hand in hand, to Stellar Point when I felt that I was going to have a panic attack. Tears came and it felt like my breathing was shallow. Elia expertly calmed me, guiding me to follow his breathing and distracted me until we reached Stellar Point at which point I felt encouraged to keep climbing to Uhuru Peak. Elia truly believed in me when I felt unconfident and I am forever grateful to him for his kindness, humility and passion to see people realise their potential. I would not have made it to Uhuru Peak without Elia’s knowledge, professionalism and support, and I’ll remember the walk to Stellar Point forever as a profound lesson in trusting in the goodness of others and courage within myself. Jackson, asante for your kindness and gentleness throughout the climb. When I faced some altitude sickness early in the hike, Jackson’s sincere care for my physical and mental wellbeing was a key factor in my continuing to climb. Jackson’s positivity is infectious and I will carry Jackson’s advice to stay “out of thought” with me in my next adventures. William, asante for your love of Mount Kilimanjaro and for sharing stories that highlight the history of the beautiful Tanzania. I have learnt so much from William’s leadership and will continue to be an ambassador of Tanzania. Diglan, asante for making me laugh all the way up the mountain, our fun conversations and for teaching me how to count in Swahili. Diglan led us on summit night, kept our pace pole pole and all 10/10 climbers made it to the top! Daudi, asante for carrying my bag on summit night when I felt exhausted. Daudi’s selflessness and strength made the final climb lighter, literally and emotionally. There are so many more Altezza team members to thank: Paulo, Moses, Iddi, Issa and the rest of the brilliant team. There is a lot of “invisible” work that goes on behind the scenes to ensure a seamless hiking experience and every single person I spoke with was sincere and positive despite challenging weather conditions. Climbing Kilimanjaro has taught me that I am courageous and strong but also that we’re always stronger as a team. My biggest takeaway as someone with anxiety climbing Kili is that of it’s a challenging experience, physically and mentally, but listening to your body, trusting the guides, taking one step at a time and having courage (which can also look like turning around may I add!) will remind you of how much love there is in the world and how courageous we all are. I will be recommending Altezza and this brilliant team to my friends, family and network!

Amazing – you will not regret going with Altezza - I can’t recommend Altezza highly enough. Two of us climbed Kilimanjaro (8-day Lemosho route) and went on safari with Altezza, and I have never been so well looked after. The crew getting us up and down the mountain were phenomenal; we felt so safe at all times – and pampered! All our group made it to the summit, thanks to the efforts of the crew. The guide, Mosha; the other walk leaders, Godfrey, Michael, Rayson, Honest and Juma; the waiters, Dionys and Samuel (special shout out to Dionys for ensuring we ate enough, while also have a laugh with us!); the chefs, William and Emmanuel; all the porters who worked incredibly hard (shout out to Benson who carried my bag on summit night) and all the people whose names I never learned but without whom I would not have made it – thank you so much for all your hard work, and for your smiles, songs and fun! You created so many special memories for us and really made the experience unforgettable. The four-day safari was excellent; our guide, Endrisha, had an impressive knowledge of all the parks and wildlife, and we saw so many more animals than I had even hoped for. Everything was very well organised and easy, and we had direct contact with someone at all times to ask questions – thank you, Denis! From the moment we landed in Tanzania, we were well taken care of and never had to wonder what was happening or how to get anywhere. All the accommodation they booked for us was lovely too. Altezza are worth every penny, plus they are part of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP), so you know the porters are treated fairly, which is very important as their work is difficult and dangerous.

Incredible experience, world class people. - From start to finish - unbelievable. The organisation and thought that goes into the tour is brilliant, and the staff that take you on the journey are truly some of the best, most caring people you will ever meet. Everyone and everything was great - I have no hesitation in saying that our lives are enriched by having met and engaged with the tour staff, they all genuinely care that you are safe and having the best time. Beyond our overall positivity about the experience - below are a few things and people that deserve a special callout: - Elia - our head guide - the leadership and empathy shown was incredible, he seamlessly guided the whole group safely to the summit in challenging conditions whilst tailoring his support to the needs to every individual on the tour. His kindness and emotional intelligence goes beyond any member of staff for any company I have ever come across. - William - an unrivalled knowledge of the mountain which makes you feel safe and comfortable. His raw honesty and passion for his Tanzanian roots comes through in his engaging stories and he is clearly a great and capable leader too. - Jackson - an incredibly kind and caring soul - was so supportive to my partner when she faced some bad altitude sickness and his gentle and considerate approach played a large part in her continuing and completing the trek. - Diglan - a positive and uplifting presence every single day - always wanted to help out in any way possible and expertly guided us on the summit night. - Iddi and Issa - an endless supply of high quality and nutritious food with careful consideration for group preference to ensure we were well fuelled to reach the top. - Paolo and Moses - the energy from these two is unmatched, way beyond their titles of waiters - they support you in so many ways making sure you are comfortable and happy - the best treat being a hot drink as you wake up and their singing and dancing. - Daudi - our summit night guide who, without his generosity and support, we would not have reached the top. His physical and emotional support was truly top notch. So much goes on behind the scenes that you do not see whilst in the thick of the hike but realise afterwards - we are so grateful to the strong squad of porters and support staff we had to ensure we reached the top safely and had an optimal experience on the way up and down.

Rachid and team were outstanding and made the summit possible - Rachid and team were outstanding and made the summit possible. Food was good and we were very well looked after, with things like tea breaks (a significant effort carrying flasks of hot water!), Plus health checks top make sure we were ok. Only slight negative is that the tents had seen better days. Would do again with the Altezza crew!

Hiking Kilimanjaro - AMAZING Experience! Our guides, porters, and the entire Altezza team were fantastic. We booked 5 different itineraries for 6 people and Ana from sales deserves a shout out for getting it all right. Also, all of the mountain guides were fantastic but in particular were Godson and Mark. They, & the entire team went overboard and paid particular attention to every medical, hiking, camping and local lore at an individual and personalized level. .
