Wonderful History of this Incredible Castle - The castle is an incredible site. Its sheer size is unbelievable. I believe it is built across 52 acres, which is mind-blowing. We bought tickets with the audio guide, which was a great experience as the explanations of the various rooms, artefacts, and exhibits are invaluable. You need to be a little physically able to navigate the various steps, so please be aware. It was a wonderful experience, with so much history since the 13th century. The castle actually took over 200 years to be built, so you can imagine the history. In terms of location, we took a train from Gdanz to Malbork, which was about 30 minutes, then walked for about 20 minutes to the largest brick build castle in the world. The entrance fee is cheap. From memory, less than 10 Euros each. You can literally spend the whole day there, so be prepared.

punctuality - The driver was there. Mr Shuttle cheaper than the others for equal service. Only one regret: the return appointment was given at noon, with a departure at 9 a.m. 3 hours was a little too short, one more would have been needed.

Great visit to Malbork Castle - Great experience with this tour. I was picked up at my hotel right on time and driven to the castle. I had a wonderful trip visiting all of the castle's highlights. When I was finished, my driver took me right back to my hotel. All in all it was definitely worth the time seeing the castle from Gdansk.

Must see object near Gdansk - Very good audio guide in many languages with visual screen on it. Interesting facts of history and castle. Easy navigation to further places. Castle is fascinating with rich exhibition and reconstructed fragments. Castle's size is impressive.

Best audio guide - Decided to visit during our stay in Gdańsk. Decided to take the train and walk to castle. Easy to buy tickets for train, they were cheap, train very comfortable and got a free bottle of water. Arrived at Malbork and had been told, easy to find castle. Expected to see it signposted from station which it wasn’t and had to use map on phone. Only a short walk but would have helped with signage. The castle is huge. We took the audio guided tour and have to say it is the best one I have ever done. Just enough information to inform about the castle but not overloaded. “Jacob” spoke at a nice pace and easy to follow. Allowed you to go at your own pace which was great. It takes about 2 hours but also suggested a good time to have a break which was helpful. We were there in April so it that busy which meant we could take our time and see everything. Short walk back and onto the train back to Gdańsk.

Really impressed - Lovely castle, really reasonable £10 per ticket. Would be good if you could skip certain parts of the audio guide. Collect the audio equipment from the ticket office at the main entrance, no one tells you this. There are ALOT of stairs , even the toilet and restaurant are downstairs. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Huge place and took a good three hours to get around. Travel from Gdansk was a pain with a train ticket to Malbork and then a 20 minute walk from there. Trains varied in price and time from 30 minutes to nearly an hour, make sure you purchase the tickets 5 minutes prior to boarding.
