Highlights
  • St Mary’s Basilica - Brick Gothic church adjacent to the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland. Built in the 14th century, its foundations date back to the early 13th century and serve as one of the best examples of Polish Gothic architecture.
  • Sukiennice (Cloth Hall) - It is the central feature of the main market square in the Kraków Old Town.
  • Wawel Royal Castle - The Wawel Royal Castle and the Wawel Hill constitute the most historically and culturally important site in Poland.
  • Ulica Kanonicza - Kanonicza Street - The street was once part of the hamlet of Okół, connected with Kraków in 1401. Formerly, the buildings along the street housed cathedral canons, and to this day many of their Baroque and Renaissance have remained present.
  • Ulica Florianska - One of the main streets in Kraków Old Town and one of the most famous promenades in the city.
  • Church of St. Peter and St. Paul - The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is the first structure in Kraków designed entirely in the Baroque style, and perhaps the first Baroque building in present-day Poland.
  • Muzeum Krakowa - Rynek Podziemny - The Museum is situated below the market square of the city and has an area of over 6000 square meters.
  • Ulica Grodzka - One of the most well known streets in Krakow
  • Krakow’s Rynek Glowny Central Square - The Center of Krakow’s Old Town
  • Church of St. Adalbert - Located on the intersection of the Main Market Square and Grodzka Street in Old Town, Kraków, is one of the oldest stone churches in Poland.
  • Wyspianski Pavilion - In the late 1990s, Andrzej Wajda was one of the originators of a modern exhibition and information pavilion at Wszystkich Świętych Square; on his initiative, the building was fitted with stained-glass windows made following Stanisław Wyspiański’s projects.
  • Church of St. Andrew (Kosciol Swietogo Andrzeja) - A historical Romanesque church built between 1079 and 1098 by a medieval Polish statesman Palatine Sieciech. It is a rare surviving example of the European fortress church used for defensive purposes.
  • Museum of Krakow Town Hall Tower - One of the main focal points of the Main Market Square in the Old Town district of Kraków. The Tower is the only remaining part of the old Kraków Town Hall demolished in 1820 as part of the city plan to open up the Main Square. Its cellars once housed a city prison with a Medieval torture chamber.
  • Wawel Cathedral - Roman Catholic church and the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Kraków, located on Wawel Hill in Kraków, Poland. More than 900 years old, it is the Polish national sanctuary and traditionally has served as the coronation site of the Polish monarchs.

A Tour To Blow You Away!! - This proved to be a very unique tour in that we were the ONLY participants, most likely due to the sudden inclement weather. The guide was nonetheless excellent, providing much insight & historical anecdotes on sites in & around Krakow Old Town. When all around were taking shelter from sudden bursts of heavy winds & rain, the guide was still prepared to continue to the end of our allocated time period, great perseverance & highly praiseworthy in the circumstances! I would most definitely recommend this tour to other Krakow visitors, perhaps participating ASAP on arrival. P.S. The weather had been fine on previous days!!

City break must do.. ! - We were only in Krakow for two full days and were keen to learn about and enjoy the old town. Our guide Gregory was very knowledgable and engaging. It's easy to wonder about such a lovely place enjoying the scenery and architecture. However the walking tour really bought the place to life. The 2 and a half hours flew by and we kept a good pace so never really got cold. I would really recommend this to anyone who gets value from understanding a little bit of the history of the places you visit . We had 6 in our group and that was perfectly fine.
