Don’t miss this tour! - If you are not renting a car, this is the best way to see this magnificent peninsula. Pictures don’t do it justice! The tour is long but well worth it. Our guide was Ragnar and he made this already great tour even better! Very knowledgeable and fun for a long day. He even included 2 extra stops of the horses and another church that has become popular on IG. Also, you go through a very long tunnel under the ocean which was neat.

Fantastic day trip! - This day trip had everything we were looking for and more! Our guide was an Icelandic native and very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything and shared stories from his growing up that really brought what we were seeing throughout the day to life. He stopped frequently for restroom breaks and always made it as easy as possible for drop off and pickups at each location. Highly recommend this great day trip!

A Day To Remember - Our tour guide was Dooley. Born and raised in Iceland and loves his country. He gave us extra time at stops than the itinerary stated because he wanted us to get enough time to see everything. He also made a few extra small stops on the way for some of his recommendations of what we should see. I will say Iceland is the first country where every single tour guide I’ve had actually really loves their country and want tourists to get the best and full experience of their trip.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula - We did the snaefellsnes peninsula tour with Tom as our guide today and we had a wonderful time! This trip itself was even better than my expectations. The landscapes were breathtaking and it was a welcome change from the packed tourist sites along the golden circle and south coast. A big special thank you today to Tom for his help and kindness. My young daughter got a bit too close to a wave which caught us by surprise and got her boots and socks drenched! Tom really went above and beyond to keep her comfortable and to get her warm and dry again. He even helped her to get her boots back on at every stop :) Himself as a guide was brilliant. His humorous stories and interesting facts kept us entertained during a long day. He even sang one song to our group in Icelandic! It was really nice to hear his personal stories at some of the areas we drove past too. Thank you Tom and bustravel for a wonderful and memorable day.

Wonderful day - It’s hard to go wrong because the scenery everywhere is beautiful but what made this trip so wonderful is our guide. Addi was incredible and helpful and so knowledgeable. Even if there was too much snow and we couldn’t go where we intended he found somewhere else. He really cared and understands the importance of his job — imparting information about the country that he loves and loves in. And he’s a great driver!! I liked this company so much a booked another for the next day.

Falsely advertised small group tour - It was hard to appreciate Iceland's natural beauty given this horrendous tour experience. 1st, they changed our pickup time from 9am to 8am and only informed us by email just 2 days before the tour (good thing I happened to check my email that day!). 2nd, the tour is advertised as a small group capped at 12 people but there were at least double that number in our tour. 3rd, the mic and speaker weren't working so at least half the group heard none of the facts being shared by the tour guide. 4th and worst of it all, the bus' suspension system was so horrible that those of us unfortunate enough to sit in the back 3 rows would bounce at least 3-4 inches off our seat with every little bump- and 90% of the tour was extremely bumpy. My mom and I still had neck and back pains and bruises from this tour a whole week later. I emailed the operators within the 1st hour of the tour to complain about all of these issues and they took almost a week to respond to apologize and offered a complimentary tour for all the issues we encountered, at which time we'd already left Iceland. Anyway, I'd already been too traumatized to give them another shot- even if we were still there- and didn't want to risk my mom and myself getting hurt even more. Never again, BusTravel!!!
