A Fascinating Overview of Neolithic England - This trip provides a great overview of the major Neolithic sites in southern England. Our visit on October 5 included stops at West Kennet Long Barrow and the Stones of Avebury, followed by a visit to Stonehenge and the associated sites of Woodhenge and Durrington Walls. Our guide Mike was both friendly and knowledgeable. and our driver Dean excellent. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful experience - We had a wonderful experience with Anderson Travel on our visit to Stonehenge and Avebury. Our guide, Richard, was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the sites. Tahir Ali, our driver, did an excellent job — very polite, professional, and helpful throughout the journey. The entire trip was well-organized and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to explore these historic landmarks!

An excellent day with Mike and Dean! - Had a great trip to see Stonehenge, Avebury, Wood Henge and the West Kennet Long Barrow. Our guide Mike was fantastic and what he doesn't know about history isn't worth knowing. Our Driver for the day Dean was also fab! They both made the trip for me. I now know a lot more about this country I have grown up in but never traveled around. It was great seeing these Neolithic relics up close. I recommend this trip!

Book this tour! - This was a a great experience! It is about Neolithic pre- history of the English culture. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun! We had enough time in all places to thoroughly enjoy each site, shop and eat. Our driver was great, welcoming and safe! Mike and Dean are a great team!! The henges and history are all incredible to visit! This tour is a must for those of us who enjoy more than what’s popular now!

Visit Stonehenge & Avebury with Anderson Tours - If you're looking for a tour that includes both Stonehenge and Avebury this is it. If you're not looking for a tour that includes both I recommend that you do. Although similar their uniqueness provides a richer understanding. The tour van was comfortable, as well as the pace, and our tour guide Richard was very informative. Our driver Bruce got us there and back safely. I felt they cared that our experience was worthwhile.

More than stones a few stones. - Easy to book trip and also easy to board (multiple meeting spots by varying tube stations). This does make for a bit of a long day since the first major sight is about 2 hours from London. Of the two sites, they each have benefits and drawbacks. Avebury was larger, had a cute little cafe and shop, and we had some time to meander alone. I liked the history and pictures the tour guide had. Stonehenge is, as you’d expect, MUCH busier. You can’t get very close on the basic tour (I’ve seen special tours that go before opening hours), so there is only so long you can walk around rocks from a distance. I also went on a VERY warm and sunny day, so I didn’t want to stay out and just sit for a while. The museum there is small but packs a LOT of I formation inside, so I recommend taking time to explore. As an important side note, I was disappointed with my tour guide. He brought up politics multiple times despite me trying to change the subject, and he also was quite negative about multiple pop culture persons while talking about his favored music/artists. He and our driver did show a lot of compassion when someone became carsick, however. I know she felt quite supported for that.
