Great Experience - Great Tour on the Train, a great experience! The only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t name you the company that makes the Tours and they didn’t reach the meeting point, I had to ask in the information modules. They supported me!

Good tour, but if you have motion sickness it might not be the best for you - We really enjoyed the trip around the island and hearing about the history of everything. The entertainment and drinks were also good! The thing we were expecting was how much the train swayed side to side. We were on the top deck which was great for viewing, but maybe it swayed more up there than on the bottom. If you have motion sickness, it might not be the best choice for you.

Unique and picturesque - We were on the first trip of the day, which I think turned out to be very lucky. There was lots of space to move around when we were onboard. When we got off and the next group got on it looked pretty packed.
We had to meet at cruise port at 9:30, there was a bit of hanging around, but we finally got on a mini bus to take us to the train. There was a lot of hanging around after we got off the bus before the train finally arrived.
The trip was really good. The train rocks a lot more than I realised it would, but it added to the fun. There was some beautiful scenery along the coast.
There were free rum drinks or soft drinks for the duration.
Lots of info was given during the trip.
Once off the train, the last part of the trip is by mini bus. Again, lots of info by a friendly driver. Before being dropped back to the port.
Two male dancers came along twice. They looked pretty grumpy and didn’t look like they wanted to be there. Then put their hands out to some people for a trip after they finished the second time.
We passed 2 schools and it was lovely to see the young school children running to wave to everyone on the train!
Would recommend the trip.

Railway Sugar Train Ride - There is a short bus tour of the island before you arrive at the train station. The driver was knowledgeable and friendly. The train ride was enjoyable, however, some may find it noisy with a lot of motion. The "entertainers" were mediocre. Refreshments were served which included beverages and a small cookie. It is expensive for what you receive.
The meeting point which was printed on our ticket was not correct. It is good we had started to locate it early, as otherwise we may have missed the excursion. We had to question numerous people ( other tour operators) as there was never a guide at the location we were given. We were directed to a different location eventually.
Overall, this was just average.

Disappointed with TripAdvisor’s Ticket Sales - My family and I booked a scenic train ride on Sunday. Even though TripAdvisor sold us tickets that day, when we arrived at the train station it was closed. There was only one other day that the train was running. We could not take the train that day. Although we were disappointed with the circumstances,
the train employees were very helpful in processing a refund.

Save your money...move to something else!!!! - Worst tour EVER! Don't waste your money! When we first arrived they appointed us to the area that the app told us to go to, then we waited for almost 45 minutes for the tour guide who never showed up. Asked several locals and then told us to go back to where we began, by then we missed our tour and they had to put us on a later tour with a large group of German tourists, so we could not understand the tour because it was in German. People with the company were very rude, except for the attendants on the train. All we saw was grass along the side of the tracks. Had a better time learning about the wild plants that had health positive results. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Unhappy customer - The tour operator did not respond to communication via WhatsApp or telephone. They didn't show up to meet us as at the port and we were unable to get in touch with them. Viator have opened a case to investigate this but have not responded with any updates despite being chased. It's now over 2 weeks since our experience was meant to take place.

2hours late - The ride was 2 hours late and broke down. We were taken right to the ship when we finally got done. The ship was late departing waiting on our return. The train is very old and obviously not mechanically kept up.

Worst experience - We were very disappointed to find out five minutes before we were supposed to board the train that our excursion was canceled. And no point did anyone call us to tell us that it was canceled and we even paid for the cab to go to the port for the excursion so the amount of money that was wasted and that still has not been refunded. Definitely the worst experience, especially since there was money wasted. And when you call customer service, they either don’t answer or don’t have any answers to give when they finally pick up your phone call.
