Additional Information

Our employee will rendezvous with you at your hotel as planned, to guide you across Bogota’s Savanna en route to the close by town of Nemocón, a serene village boasting colonial design. Here, you’ll explore its underground salt mine, delving 80 meters below the surface. Within, marvel at the 28 brine mirrors that create a striking optical illusion as salt rocks dissolve. Noteworthy sights include a 1,300 Kg stone embodying the world, a salt crystal weighing 1,600 Kg, structured into a heart by the artisan Miguel Sanchez, and a host of stalactites and stalagmites. Continuing on to Zipaquira, you’ll pause for a traditional cuisine lunch. Post lunch, we’ll escort you to the Salt Cathedral. This remarkable structure, considered Colombia´s first wonder and a masterpiece of modern architecture, was erected 180 meters under the surface within a salt deposit, and houses a Chapel inside.
