Highlights
- Centraal Station - We meet at the main entrance of Amsterdam Central Station.
- Zaandijk Zaanse Schans - From the Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans station we walk to the Zaanse Schans in about 15 minutes.
- Catharina Hoeve Cheese Farm - I will take you to the correct entrance. You will receive an explanation and you can taste and possibly buy cheese….
- Centraal Station - We meet at the main entrance of Amsterdam Central Station.
- Zaandijk Zaanse Schans - From the Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans station we walk to the Zaanse Schans in about 15 minutes.
- Catharina Hoeve Cheese Farm - I will take you to the correct entrance. You will receive an explanation and you can taste and possibly buy cheese.
- Molen De Kat - You can possibly visit the mill.
- Zaanse Schans - From Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans station we walk to the Juliana Bridge in about 15 minutes. From the bridge we have a spectacular view of the windmills immediately. I will show you the Albert Heijn museum shop, the clog maker, the cheese maker and the windmills of the Zaanse Schans.
- Kraaienest 4 - I will go with you to the clog workshop. We start in the small museum and you will make a demonstration clogs. Then the opportunity to fit and buy clogs.
- Zaandijk Zaanse Schans - I will take you back to Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans station from where you can take the train back to Amsterdam Central Station.

Local Expert Tourist Approved! Windmill Village Zaanse Schans - Diana Temmink, our local guide, was AMAZING! Knowledgeable, friendly, curious, thoughtful, and led our family of a tour that we will NOT forget as our sojourns continue forth. She made us feel comfortable, confident, and capable maneuvering through the Windmill Village at Zaanse-Schans. Valuable and historical information coupled with her own personal experience made this trip come alive and worth every effort made to meet our desire to see and know more about this beautiful country of the Netherlands.

Exceeded our expectations. - An exceptional tour with Diana to experience the Zaanse Schans! She guided our family of 8 effortlessly, with great stories and historical anecdotes that kept even the young ones interested. It was clear that our experiences were the most important goal of the day- not always true on tours like this. Way exceeded our expectations. Thank you Diana!

Diana was a great guide... - Diana was a great guide for this small group tour. Would recommend for anyone looking to spend a few hours getting to know Zaanse Schans, its windmills, cheese and clogs.

Diana is the BEST tour... - Diana is the BEST tour guide for Zaanse Schans! She lives locally and gives such a fun tour filled with super interesting history! Since we were the only people that signed up for that session, we ended having a private tour. Diana met us at the main train station and took us to Zaanse Schans. We explored the windmills, the clog workshop, and the cheese tasting (especially gouda)! The actual tour lasted about 2 hours. We had so much fun that we were sad when the tour finally came to an end. After the tour, Diana biked home and we stayed in the region longer to explore the paint manufacturing windmill and we tried the delicious mustard soup! There are many different tours you can select for Zaanse Schans, but you MUST select this one! Diana is truly the best tour guide we've ever had and she goes out of her way to avoid getting mixed in with the large groups of tourists (20+) who arrived via tour buses. She truly went above and beyond! Thank you so much Diana!

Really fun outing. We... - Really fun outing. We loved visiting the windmills, historical village, clog factory and gouda tasting room. Diana made this excursion extra meaningful, sharing her history with this beautiful region. Her instructions were perfect. It was nice to have a guide help us get there on the train and then we were free to stay as long as we wanted and return on our own.

Book this tour ! - Diana is an amazing tour guide and the area is so picturesque. We ended up staying a while and walking around after the tour ended because we enjoyed it so much! She was very detailed and it was easy to find our way back to the train after we explored with her instructions.

Windmills, clogs, cheese and more! - One of the best tours we have ever been on, with definitely the BEST tour guide! A fun and informative tour about the windmills of Holland and of the houses, people and industries associated with them.
