Lovely meal on a boat, sailing on the river Ouse. - The booking experience was easy through trip advisor and they also sent a reminder text message the day before with a link to the tickets which was handy as I booked a while ago. The boat trip was good, the captain was telling you some history of York while sailing along the river. All the staff were friendly and polite and the fish and chips were lovely too. I would recommend this experience as the shambles and York minster are within walking distance of kings staith, which is where you board the boat. We made a day of it and are likely to return.

Boat trip - Nice trip down the river and good commentary about the history of York. Fish and chips delicious. Would recommend on a trip to York.

Fish and chip cruise - Was a nice cruise just unfortunate for us we had a group of rowdy people on the boat so could not hear a word the captain was saying. Note to self book the lunch cruise fish and chips were soggy as they had been in a hot box but it was a good experience

Cruise ok, fish and chips not great - Cruise was ok. Fish and chips were poor. Expected cod or haddock but what we got was monkfish. Didn't enjoy and was really looking forward to it.

Average. - Boat ride good. Fish and chips not so good. Fish grey, chips not fresh, seemed like they'd been kept warm for hours before served.

Hard to hear - I would have given it 4 stars but for the women next to us and behind us, non stop talking. The captain was giving out historical information and we couldn't hear him. Just a thought for future reference. Either turn up the speaker so we can hear, or some sort of wifi personal speakers or headphones for hire. Otherwise it was a pleasant journey.
