We learned a lot about Yellowknife and its cultural heritage. - Our city tour guide was full of knowledge of current and historical knowledge of indigenous peoples. Lots of history here and our guide, Nancy did such a wonderful job of sharing. We did the city tour as part of a package deal with Destination NWT which included 3 nights Aurora viewing, and daytime choices of tours including Snowmobiling, ice fishing, city tour, dog sledding and more. We are already planning a return trip with Leon & Luna and their tour company and staying longer.

Best Cultural Tour - Nancy was the best! Full of local knowledge. We were mostly interested in First Nations cultural heritage and she shared her knowledge and took us to exhibits that were very educational for us.

Wonderful Tour Experience with a Kind and Caring Guide - I joined a tour in Yellowknife with my mother and sister. We were the only three participants on the tour. Our guide, Mimi, was incredibly kind, considerate, and friendly. She brought the car close for my mother, who has difficulty walking, and even helped us load her wheelchair into the trunk. Mimi also recommended some great restaurants in Yellowknife. Thanks to her, we had such a wonderful and memorable experience. Although this tour is listed as an English-language tour, Mimi speaks both English and Japanese. She kindly guided us using both languages to make sure we understood everything. If you’re not confident in your English but are interested in joining this tour, I believe Mimi can also support you in Japanese.

An excellent introduction to Yellowknife - My first time to Yellowknife and I was very fortunate to have a tour with Mo, even though I was the only one on the tour that day. I was able to appreciate the history and culture of the city as Mo is very knowledgable and he shared stories and information about the key landmarks in the city. It was a beautiful sunny day so I took photos everywhere, especially from the great view over Yellowknife and Great Slave Lake atop the Bush Pilot's Monument. Our stroll through some Old Town sites was a perfect pairing to the guided tours through the Legislative Assembly and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, both beautiful buildings. I was very grateful that Mo agreed to modify the tour a bit to allow me to skip a few stops (which I expected to do on my own the next day) and add a few other interesting stops. What a treat! Mo is splendid company, a great conversationalist, and a meticulous tour guide. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in getting a thorough overview of this lovely northern city.
