- Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - You will meet at an easy-to-find central location and then wind your way through the narrow streets and alleys by tuktuk within the Xi’an City Wall to find the best food in the city. We’ll take you places where only locals go. You’ll cover a lot of ground and get off the beaten path to family-run restaurants that you (and other tourists) won’t find on your own. Between food stops, you’ll be able to chat with your English-speaking guide about the city while drinking unlimited chilled beer and soda during the ride.

This isn’t your typical walking tour. Instead, it’s a small group tour conducted via private tuktuk, complete with an endless supply of beer and soda. Your English-speaking guide will take you through the lesser-known areas of Xi’an, where you’ll dine at quaint, family-owned establishments and sample the finest local cuisine that you can’t discover on your own. After a 3-hour adventure, the tour culminates at a local brewery where you can enjoy the town’s only craft beer.

Meeting Location: Xi Hua Men Fire Station, located 1 city block north of the Bell Tower, just west of the intersection of Bei Da Jie Street and Xi Hua Men Street.
The fire station is a very easy landmark to recognize, just look for big red doors with numbers painted on them.

A real feast! - Cannot recommend this tour enough, but make sure you go hungry as it's a real feast! The Xi'an fried chicken was a particular highlight and our guide Floy was lovely. Definitely worth it if you're in Xi'an!

Great food, guides and tour - A wonderful way to see the small streets of the Muslim Quarter and come to understand the varied foods of the great city of Xi'An. Our guides were friendly and informative. The restaurants we visited were well chosen, not touristed and represented the local cuisine well. The food was fresh, varied and told the story of the Silk Road through food. I loved the tour, the places we visited and our guides.

Amazing foodie tour in the back streets of Xian. - Absolutely amazing evening guided by BuRen to dine in several small restaurants in Xian. He took us to taste a variety of delicious local food from noodles to bbq, to dumplings, chicken to congee finishing the evening in a craft beer brewery. We learned so much about local food! The dishes were all exceptional, the restaurants were clean and very friendly to us.
Highly recommended to any foodie coming to Xian. Come hungry!

Fantastic food tour - The guide for my tour, Buren, was fantastic. I could tell he was a real foodie who had a huge passion for the city and its food and loved sharing it.
The food itself was incredible, and the group setting was great to get to know some new people during my solo trip.

Amber was fantastic! - This was our second Lost Plate tour. Amber was so much fun! We had great food, learned lots about food and culture and had lots of laughs. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing culinary tour in Xian by night - The tour was really amazing since we had different plates in four different restaurants !!All were amazing and we really passed a great time with our guide Amber who really did a magnificent job!!Tour is really recommended for people who enjoy food !!!To finish also the ride in tuc tuc was really fun since you move in all this narrow streets in the Muslim quarter !!

Adventure in Xi'an food - Had an excellent adventure in Xi'an with Amber. She was friendly and helpful throughout the evening. She explained the menu, the history and the culture very well at each place. We had two who didn't eat red meat and she made sure everyone experienced each location. Very well done.

Delicious food and fantastic company - An Amazing Tasting Experience in Xi An with our guide Buren! Buren is a real « foodie », a foodie just like us, his English is perfect and he took us to the best places in the Muslim Quarter. He explained everything to us, tailored the experience to our tastes and even stopped along the way whenever I wanted to taste something. I highly recommend this tour!
