Highlights
  • Gross-Rosen Museum in Rogoznica - Gross-Rosen in Rogoźnica - the biggest Nazi-German concentration camp in Lower Silesia, with particularly harsh conditions and penal work in the quarries. The motto of that place was Vermichtung durch Arbeit (Annihilation through work). Around 40 000 prisoners died here: Poles, Jews, Russians, French and Hungarian.

  • Zamek Ksiaz w Walbrzychu - Ksiaz Castle - the third biggest castle in Poland, situated in the majestic rock cliff by the side of the Pelcznica River. Located 395 meters above the sea level and surrounded by a beautiful forest, the castle is sometimes called the Pearl of Lower Silesia. The castle’s location combined with its size is not a common sight in Europe. In 1943 Hitler’s paramilitary organization Tod began building one of his main quarters which, along with other objects of the Riese complex close the castle, near Osowka and Wlodarz, played a crucial role.

  • Underground Town Osowka - The Osówka Complex - part of an impressive project conducted by the Nazi Germany between 1943 and 1945 (codename Riese). The mysterious structure called The Underground city still hasn’t revealed all of its secrets … Discover the biggest and the most complex Hitler’s headquarters in Lower Silesia.

A must! - Only couple on the tour so became a private one. Punctual pick up, Jacob, our host, went above and beyond to help us have a memorable trip.

Excellent day out - We had an amazing day learning about the Secrets of World War II with Jakub. He was very personable and knowledgeable and made the day great for us. A highlight for us was the trip to Gross-Rosen which was a humbling experience but one we feel is very important to pay our respects. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn and see more about local history and gain a valuable insight into the experiences that unfolded here. We also commend our guide on his excellent driving on some questionable roads! 10/10

Incredible tour and incredible guide, Pawel - Had a wonderful time on this tour - got to engage deeply with the history of World War 2 through three different sites that are thematically connected but not repetitive, as they focus on different parts of history or the role of the space in relation to World War 2. I suppose it's possible to pick and choose your own museums or places to go to, but for someone new to Poland and Wroclaw, I think these three locations picked were a great combination. Our guide, Pawel, was an absolute star. Apart from driving us from place to place, he answered all our questions on the history of Poland and the region, and we learnt so much from him. He was very fluent in English - and four, maybe five other languages - and we were so grateful to have him. He also gave us great recommendations for food. Thanks so much, Pawel! I would highly recommend the tour. My only suggestion is to bring some snacks (or buy some along the way) to munch on while you chew on history.

Day tour that went above and beyond - Could not review this tour enough. My father and I completed it with 2 other guests and our guide Adam, who could not gave been more helpful. Gave a history of Poland that we would not know. With little local bits included. Adam brought us to an extra stop (the peace Church) and bought us lunch. Best day tour I've done by far.

An Absolute Must! - I could not rate this tour more highly. We had an excellent guide (Bart) who made the trip fascinating and fun. The structure is so well thought out as each place we visited linked into the next and helped to contextualise it. The minibus is very comfortable and we did not feel rushed at any of the sites. Would highly recommend.

Very good tour with an excellent guide - it was a very interesting tour. the guide explained many backgrounds. the ride was very pleasant in a safe car. we had enough time to look at everything in peace. it was an all-round successful day and we can only recommend it. the tour is certainly not suitable for children, but young people should definitely take part. the price is absolutely okay.

Amazing tour, well worth doing - A group of 7 of us did this tour back in september. It was so good and amazing value for money. All the sites we saw were so interesting and I liked that we had our own mini cab for the day. Jacob was our driver and guide, and he was brilliant, we couldn't speak more highly of him. Very friendly, told us loads about the area as we were driving from place to place, but equally gave us time to ourselves to look around each site. This was the highlight of our trip, we got to see so much in one day and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Day out sight seeing - We were called the day before the booked trip to ensure we still wished to go on the tour and also to confirm the collection details. We were picked up from our hotel just after 07:00 on a monday morning in a clean mini bus. The driver / tour guide confirmed that we do not pay anything until the end of the trip. I apologise to him as I think he was called hector but would not guarantee. During the whole day he was exceptionally friendly and answered all questions that were asked of him. His driving was first rate and the trip back on t he local back roads was so much nicer than the main roads. He went out of his way to try and provide my wife with a vegan lunch and myself with a milk allergy. I would definitely recommend this tour company and also the trip. We returned to our hotel after 6pm and found it a very good day out
