Matthew is the best - We took hop on hop off tour with live guide. Out guide was Matthew and he was awesome. His narration was super interesting and whimsical. Even our teenage kids were paying attention and says a lot. Thank you, Matthew 🙏💪

Beautiful scenery, but drive by it all so fast you couldn’t get pics - I got us tickets for the hop on/off bus so we could see areas before we decided to go ourselves. The bus drove by the stuff so fast, and the audio would be loud then so quiet you couldn’t make it out. Very disappointed

Very disappointing! - Having used other bus tours across the UK we had a clear idea of what was expected. However, details of where to get on was the first issue as the location had no visibility of the pick up point. I contacted customer service who confirmed that a bus was about 20 mins away and to hang around and flag it down. The picture shown on their website online map is not correct so didn’t help in establishing the location. The tour commentary was very basic and minimal with a lot of background music filling in. Lastly, the commentary included mentioning that the Queen was still the head of Windsor Castle and the estate! The roads that are travelled are typically quite busy, which can impact on the timetable but this encouraged our driver to travel quickly in between these bottlenecks making the journey bumpy and feel rushed. It was overpriced for what it was. Also, although the app was advertised as having a live feed this wasn’t working so we could not plan getting back on the bus as planned and ended up not returning.

Don’t waste your money complete ripoff - What a waste of money. The bus windows were filthy so no photos, audio was out of date referring to the Queen, kept repeating information and very poor quality audio. Made longer by driving through miles of nothing. You could have walked the whole route, seen more and saved your money. The only one good point was the driver who had to get around some very difficult turns and negotiate very narrow streets.

Golden Tours Windsor - The bus was only running once an hour which was a shock as it’s half term. We were told to help ourselves to headphones and also took map (they were not offered) the bus was old, dirty and needs a good freshen up. We went upstairs to the covered section of the open top bus, this was due to rain but happy we did as the back was covered in leaves and twigs from a lot of overhanging trees. The commentary was terrible, it was 90% lift music and the 10% of commentary was late, we had already past the things it was mentioning. Also it’s well out of date the fact the queen past 18 months ago and this has not been updated in all that time is disgraceful. I live locally and have a knowledge of Windsor and the surrounding areas but we took this trip for a fun day for our daughter so I was able to tell her what things were and point things out that were not mentioned at all in the commentary. For a tourist who has not been to Windsor they would leave learning and seeing nothing. So much was missed info wise as we went round. Massively disappointing.

WORST BUS TOUR EVER - Dreadful! Avoid, total waste of money. I have been on numerous bus tours around the world and this has to be the worst I have ever had the misfortune to book. Basically a tour of the countryside with music blaring out. Very little actual commentary, and most was total misaligned with where we were. We totally missed Frogmore House as we had already passed it when it was announced and we were not enough time to take a photo of the Long Walk. No information about actual Windsor town and the commentary was so out of date to referred to Queen Elizabeth as II as if she was still alive.

Poor service - First of all, the bus was late by 25 minutes. When we called to query this, the agent didn't understand our question. The bus stop letters were mislabeled which was confusing. When we got on the bus, there were no headphones and when we let the driver know, all he did was shrug (we specifically booked the tour as it stated it would have translations). The tour itself was fine but the service around it left a bad taste.

Want that hour plus back - Tour- not at all. Bus ride into a rural area and saw hedges, houses and trees. Wondering WTH we were doing. Did whole loop because once you go you are a captive. Hop off in the middle of NoWHEre . There was a farm you could visit and buy some ridiculous priced items like jams that I don’t want. Should have stopped at a PUB so you could drink to forget except you were waiting for your time slot to go to Windsor Castle( No interior photos allowed)

Waste of money - The trip was very short. The bus was delayed (not it's fault) but the timings were all off. The audio ports didn't work on some seats and the screens were scratched so they were difficult to see. The audio was not very informative and never finished a section as the driver was driving quickly. It also kept referencing the Queen instead of the King. I could have spent the money on a decent lunch instead.
