  • The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from when you first board the bus (depending on the option selected). Unlimited usage within this time.
  • Customers can board the tour from any of the 20 stops along the route.
  • A circuit takes approx. 1 hour.

Rich our York Tour Guide - Rich from York is an excellent tour guide. Extremely funny should be on the stage. Such talent and very knowledgable. Very courteous. Looked after his clients with excellent interpersonal skills. It ended up raining and he came upstairs right away to give us ponchos to protect us. He also turned off the tape recording to speak to us all on the top deck. Well done Rich will highly recommend you to family and friends in the future.

Keith is a star - Very good value for money. Keith was an excellent guide, he had a unique way of sharing information about the sights and history of York which was informative and at times witty, he was a very engaging guide. Having been on an earlier bus and listened to the audio guide 😴 Keith was a breath of fresh air, and also provided additional information about some of the landmarks and even talked about some of the others. My tip for travellers, if you're getting on a bus, check out the drivers name... Look for Keith.

Highly recommended - My wife and I enjoy learning about various places we visit and decided to take a hop on hop off bus tour. Our guide, Richard, was excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, giving us lots of facts about York and its history. Being able to leave the bus to do your own exploring and rejoin later is also a very good feature of the experience. Very reasonably priced too.

Keith was fantastic - Keith our tour operator was very informative, funny & entertaining. It is one of the best tours I have been on in along time. He would make a great comedian. I came off very knowledgeable & relaxed from laughing so much

Best tour bus in york - Amazing tour on Saturday by Richard what he doesn’t know about York is not worth knowing. The tour takes you to some of the best places in York stopping at various points along the way so you can enjoy the view or hop off and explore then hop on the next bus and enjoy the ride

Were told wrong info - We were told by the ticket seller we would be able to use our tickets on blue and red buses however we later discovered this wasn’t the case. We tried to use our ticket on the red bus after the blue tour was finished (we also weren’t told they actually finish at 4pm) and weren’t allowed on as it is a different company. A bit more honestly would have been appreciated.

Not recommended - The Golden Tours buses (we had to change a bus due to a defect ) were extremely dirty, not just the windows. Many audio guides were also defective. We were particularly interested in the explanations of squares, monuments and buildings. But the explanations were very brief. But unbearable music played during the long explanation breaks. We were very dissatisfied but have no comparison to other hop on hop of buses.
