Additional Information

Embark on an exclusive journey to The German Nazi Penal Labour and Extermination Camp in Treblinka, where over 800,000 Polish Jews were slaughtered during World War II. This six-hour tour will take you through the former campgrounds and share the stories of those who survived.

Treblinka, specifically Treblinka II, is the second largest death camp, following Birkenau, where German and Austrian Nazis executed more than 800,000 Polish Jews and subjected tens of thousands more Poles to a neighboring forced labour camp.

Treblinka sets itself apart from other similar locations. You will not see barracks or crematoria. Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto were transported here under appalling conditions by train and then pushed directly from the railway platform to gas chambers. Forty minutes later, the bodies of the victims were buried in enormous mass graves.

The thick forest enclosing the site creates an almost eerie ambiance. The beauty of the surrounding natural environment, contrasted with the awareness of the terrible tragedy that took place here, triggers profound emotions.

Heartrending and reflective opportunity to understand more about the history of Treblinka - This was a fascinating and informative trip. Marcin was not only a great source of information for the trip and Treblinka itself, but also a sharp, interesting and well-informed guy to talk with more generally about the Polish political and world context. We enjoyed his company and the trip immensely, albeit a tragic and heart-rending reminder of the inhumanities this country and its people faced.

Day trip to Treblinka - Marcin was a great guide. He showed up on time and the trip went according to schedule. He took time to answer all our questions about Treblinka and Polish history. During lunch we also learned a lot about living in Poland and polish culture.

Powerful and Moving Experience! - This was a powerful and moving experience for us. We have studied history, but to walk where thousands of human beings were senselessly murdered was surreal. Martin, our guide, was knowledgeable and answered our many questions. He was engaging and friendly. We enjoyed the drive, the tour of Treblinka and the authentic Polish lunch. He gave us great recommendations. The meeting point and drop off were easy to find.

Excellent trip - This is a must do tour when visiting Poland - very informative and excellent guide (Marcin). We had little knowledge of this camp before visiting - the three short movies in the museum were excellent.

Informative tour - thank you Marcin! - This tour company is one of the very few in Warsaw who were able to cater for solo travellers. Tour guide Marcin picked me up from my hotel and on the way to Treblinka we chatted about the history of the camp and life in modern Poland. It was a very snowy day and I really appreciated Marcin's careful driving - I felt very safe in the car. Marcin is a very passionate and knowledgeable guide and was able to answer all of my questions about the camp. The tour included a visit to the small on-site museum and also a walk through the area and memorial once occupied by Treblinka II but unfortunately due to the bad weather we were not able to get to Treblinka I. After visiting the camp Marcin took me to a lovely Polish restaurant which I really enjoyed. I highly recommend this tour. If at all possible I recommend requesting Marcin for your guide, he is fantastic.

Humbling and unmissable - We had an eyeopening experience to Treblinka death and work camps with our guide Marcin. He was informative and charismatic. Our drive to the camps was very pleasant. Marcin was easy to chat to and he told us interesting tidbits about the city of Warsaw. At the camps Marcin walked us through the history of the sites and the people that perished there. He also allowed us to review artefacts and the memorials in our own time and space without us feeling rushed or under pressure. It's clear that he is passionate about the history of his country and people. This trip while humbling was extremely important. Thanks to Marcin it was one of the main highlights of our time in Warsaw. We honestly couldn't thank him enough!
