By the Sigismund's Column (20-meter high stone column with a bronze statue on top) in the Castle Square, look for a guide holding an ORANGE UMBRELLA with a British flag on top. In case of parade/protest/concert, we will be starting from the red-brick defensive wall situated 100 m. further north.

Fabulous and lovely guide with a wonderful voice - Very informative experience. I came here knowing next to nothing about Warsaw and Poland. Our guide was amazing! Now I feel like I have some background and good direction for exploring and understanding the city.

Highly recommended - First, this tour is provided by Orange Umbrella, which provides the guide. Apparently many websites and companies feed into this tour (at least 4 in my group). Total in group was around 20 which borders on too big without headsets but our guide (Magda) used a voice amplifier and spoke perfect English so no issues. Very informative and good pace. No WC breaks. All business covering a lot of history. Presented many period photos which brought needed color to the magnitude of destruction and horror which happened here. Solicited and got many questions while walking between stops. No formal talks while walking which worked best. I would recommend this tour if you only have one or two days in Warsaw for essential overview of events. I had 3 days and added a bicycle tour. Some same ground was covered but this tour focused on the main events which perfectly captured this city’s recent history and mindset.

10/10 Recommend - Magda is a fantastic tour guide, highly engaging and knowledgable. The tour lasted 2h30 but it flew by because I was enjoying it so much and didn’t want it to end! She helped us put our own Polish family history into perspective. Definitely get her tour so that you can truly understand Warsaw. These things are so necessary to learn about if you visit Poland.
