Rynek Starego Miasta - This lively square, surrounded by beautiful 17th- and 18th-century merchants’ houses, is filled with street vendors, cafes, shops, galleries, and some of Warsaw’s top restaurants.

Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy) - Located in Old Town, this picturesque open plaza, built in 1821, features the King Zygmunt III column at its center.

Zamek Krolewski w Warszawie - Muzeum - Serving as the central building of the Polish Commonwealth for centuries, this castle was rebuilt after being dynamited by German troops during the Warsaw uprising, recreating its original 17th-century architecture and interiors.

Monument to the Warsaw Uprising Fighters - One of the most moving monuments in Warsaw, showcasing the effort, strength, and sacrifice of Polish soldiers through great architecture.

Pomnik Bohaterow Getta - Located just outside the Polish Museum of Jewish History, this powerful monument commemorates Polish Jews and their persecution during Germany’s occupation in WWII. Viewable upon request.

Warsaw Barbican (Barbakan Warszawski) - A 16th-century fortress that was part of the medieval fortifications around Warsaw, guarding the northern entrance to the city, the Novomeijska Gate.

Statue of the Little Insurgent - A bronze statue commemorating the children who lost their lives in the Warsaw Rising. Small but very moving sculpture.

St. Anne’s Church (Kosciol Swietej Anny) - This church features a gorgeous structure and altars inside, richly decorated with a peaceful vibe. Entry upon request.

Archcathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist - One of the most distinguished churches in Warsaw, originally built in the 13th century, and the site of royal coronations and national celebrations. Entry upon request.

Warsaw Mermaid - This mermaid statue sits in the middle of a nice square, waiting for admiration from visitors. It has an interesting legend behind it.

King Sigismund’s Column (Kolumna Zygmunta) - Dating back to the 1600s, this column is both a work of art and one of Warsaw’s famous landmarks in Old Town.

Muzeum Warszawy - Showcasing extraordinary stories of ordinary things, the Museum of Warsaw collects, researches, and makes available the things of Warsaw. (Only viewable from outside)

Krasinski Palace - The exterior is quite impressive, and the reconstruction has been well executed. Worth a look!

Field Cathedral of the Polish Army - The simplistic beauty of this rebuilt cathedral adds to the mystique of Old Town. Not overly ornate, just stunning and nice. (Only the exterior is viewable)

Teatr Narodowy - Another amazing building in Warsaw, charming both during the day and at night when it is lit up, with an impressive exterior.

Church of Jesuits - An imposing building in the old town with an attractive red exterior and a very ornate interior, higher than expected.

The Wishing Bell - A 17th-century bronze bell set in a pretty courtyard in the heart of the old town, a very interesting sight.

Vistula - The Warsaw waterfront is continuously developing, with new boulevards and waterside pubs creating a merry and laid-back atmosphere.

Copernicus Science Centre - One of the largest science centers in Europe, its exhibition is divided into six interdisciplinary parts with over 400 exhibits. Only the exterior is viewable, but the building is fantastic.

University of Warsaw Library - The rooftop garden at the university library is a hidden gem, peaceful and quiet with fabulous architecture. Viewable upon request.

Multimedia Fountain Park - A short walk north of the old town, this park is a visual delight combining music, light, and fountains. Viewable upon request.

Holy Cross Church (Kosciol Swietego Krzyza) - A beautiful church housing Chopin’s heart, rich in decoration with an original Holy Cross that survived bombings. Viewable upon request.

Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera - Poland’s leading venue for opera, ballet, and concerts, with magnificent walls, roofs, and pillars visible from the outside.

Marie Curie Museum (Muzeum Marii Sklodowskiej-Curie) - Chronicling the life and work of Madame Marie Curie, a Polish physicist and chemist, and two-time Nobel Prize winner. Only the exterior is viewable.

University of Warsaw (Uniwersytet Warszawski) - The largest university in Poland, featuring beautifully decorated buildings with gardens and gorgeous balconies.

Monument to the Fallen and Murdered in the East - This magnificent monument commemorates the fate of 1.5-2 million Poles sent to labor camps by the Soviet Union.

Monument of Nicolaus Copernicus - One of Warsaw’s top landmarks, located in a beautiful square, honoring the great Polish mathematician and astronomer known worldwide.

Palac Prezydencki - This beautiful neo-classic building, where the Polish president resides, is heavily guarded at all times. The exterior and surroundings are worth a look.

Church of St. Joseph of the Visitationists - Originally a wooden chapel, rebuilt after burning down, with plain and austere decor inside.

Chopin’s Bench - A multimedia bench presenting Chopin’s music, an innovative way to admire his achievements.

Zacheta Gallery (Galeria Zacheta) - The National Gallery of Art aims to popularize contemporary art as an important socio-cultural element. The white building is pure beauty!

New Town Square - Founded by John III Sobieski to celebrate his victory over the Turks in 1683, this quiet open plaza features magnificent Renaissance architecture and the baroque church of the Sisters of the Holy Sacrament.

Carmelite Church - Our Lady of the Assumption - A baroque church next to the presidential palace, characterized by double pillars and grand stone lampions. Napoleon reportedly wanted to move it to Paris. Worth a visit.

Plac Marszalka Jozefa Pilsudskiego - A large parade square with a memorial to the Unknown Soldier.

St. Mary’s Church (Kosciol Najswietszej Marii Panny) - One of the oldest buildings and a rare example of Gothic architecture in the city. Behind the church is a small park with steps leading down to the Vistula River. Viewable upon request.

Adam Mickiewicz Monument - An impressive monument to one of Poland’s leading poets, with great decorations, steps, and sculptures around it.
