Embark on a 2.5-hour guided bus tour aboard a 1980s Jelcz “Cucumber” bus, exploring the “dark side” of Warsaw in the Praga district. The tour includes live commentary from your guide and a walking tour of several sites, such as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a chocolate lounge, and Brzeska and Stalowa streets. You’ll pass by the former vodka factory “Koneser” and the historic black market “Różycki’s Bazaar.” Discover fascinating sacred buildings, authentic pre-war architecture, and numerous murals. The tour also includes a complimentary hot chocolate.
For groups of up to 8 passengers, a Nysa Mini Retro Bus is provided. If the group exceeds 8 participants, the Jelcz “Cucumber” Retro Bus will be used.

Off the beaten track experience - We had a great experience with Maks our Warsaw host. His tour was informative and humorous. Good chance to see the darker side of Warsaw , not often seen by the average tourist. Blue retro bus was very cool. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed my tour and... - Enjoyed my tour and riding in the retro bus. The chocolate tasting was very good as well even in the warm weather, I enjoyed it.

Great tour with an excellent guide - This was a fun and unique way to see Praga. Our guide was excellent! We had a typical complainer at the beginning of the tour (there seems to be one in every group) and the guide handled it so well. He made sure it didn’t affect the rest of us and even managed to get the complainer to come around by the end of the tour. Word of advice - do not be disappointed if your group is small and you take a smaller bus. You’re getting a small group tour at a great deal. The smaller group was so much better.

Great visit with excellent guide - Really fascinating insight into the Praga district of Warsaw. Terrific guide - Maks - brought the whole story to life and so much fun to ride in the blue ‘cucumber’.

Entertaining tour with exciting information - The tour on the nostalgic bus was very entertaining. We saw some things that you probably wouldn't discover on your own and received a lot of interesting background information from our friendly guide Konrad.

Fortunate Opportunity - We had originally booked a tour of Warsaw in a vintage taxi, but that was cancelled at the last moment and we were offered a spot on this tour instead. We were not disappointed. We saw a portion of Warsaw (the Praga district) that provided a glimpse into what the city was like following WWII during the communist era and the revitalization that now continues. The guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining, and the tour included stops that allowed us to get off the bus for closer inspection. Be aware there is a portion of the tour that involves walking several blocks in order to see sites that couldn’t easily be viewed from the bus, but this was punctuated by a few stops where the guide provided narrative insight into the murals and living conditions of the area. We are very pleased we took this tour.

Interesting tour on a vintage bus - This was a really nice tour. I wouldn’t say it’s a dark side in the traditional sense of but gives an overview of the Praga district. Our guide was fantastic and injected humor where he could and did a good job of explaining how WWII and Communism are still ever present in the rebuilding of Warsaw. The bus was fun to ride on and a slice of history. At one point the battery got cold so some of the guests had to give a little push which made for an extra interesting moment.

Fascinating excursion to Praga (Warsaw) - The guide told fascinatingly about the history of Poland (general) and also about the Praga district. I found the time during the trips very short.

The guide was great,... - The guide was great, funny and knowledgeable. The experience itself wasn’t that great because of a large group of american tourists that were being very loud and drinking on the bus. We also had to rush through our stops quite a lot, which I assume was in part because of that same group that were late.
