- Palace of Versailles - Walk in the footsteps of former kings and queens of France on a guided, 2-hour tour of the Palace of Versailles. Meet your guide and your small-sized group in central Versailles, a short trip outside of Paris, and beat the long entrance queues at the palace with skip-the-line access.
Wander through many of the hundreds of lavishly decorated rooms including the Hall of Mirrors, Royal Apartments, Apollo Room, Coronation Room and Royal Chapel. Your expedition incorporates a tour to the globally-renowned Versailles Gardens. On specific days, witness the stunning fountain display synchronized with music, or relish a walk through the gardens accompanied by the echoes of classical music during the Musical Gardens event
- Please note that the rest of your group is coming from Paris, we kindly ask you to wait at the meeting point until your guide arrives.
- If option selected, you’ll have the opportunity to freely explore the gardens at your own pace and enjoy the musical show inside the gardens of Versailles. Please be aware that guided visits inside the gardens is not included
- Entry to the gardens is free of charge from November to March, and no ticket is required during this period. However, from April to October, a ticket is necessary to visit the gardens. Your City Wonders representative will provide you with your ticket on the day of the tour (if option selected).

Equestrian statue of Louis XIV
Meet our team, dressed in blue attire, by the statue of Louis XIV (the bronze horseman statue in the Place d’Armes, the square in front of the palace). This statue is currently undergoing renovation.

Our guide was Omar and he was fantastic! - What can I say….It is such an incredible place! If you visit Versailles you must take a tour. It is the only way to really understand the history and get tidbits that only a real knowledgeable guide can impart.

A stunning palace!!! - What a stunning Palace!!! And a wonderful day out. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of information. The group was given plenty of time to take pictures of each room and the grounds. The gardens are amazing,with a mini train to take you around if you would like. There is so much to see and do you will never be bored. There is also a restaurant and a cafe and toilet facilities. Lots of places to sit and rest as you make your way around inside and outside. I would love the opportunity to visit again. Definitely a day out to remember.

Another poor experience with Viator. Had 3 tours in total with them one worse than the next. - Kept waiting in freezing cold. Guide never arrived and allocated to another larger group tour. Not enough audio sets so some missed out.

Not a trustworthy company. - Wow, did I have a bad experience with this tour group. I had to upgrade my tickets because there was nothing available for the 7 days I was going to be in Paris, they doubled in price. I then bought train ticked, the day before, to get to Versailles. The morning of the tour, we found out the train was not able to get to Versailles because they were doing work on the tracks. We would have to take a bus part way, train part way and then stop and take a bus, again part way to the destination. It was going to take 1 hour longer to get there than we had anticipated. The tour starts without you if you are not on time, and we were not going to get there on time for the start. I then looked into taking an Uber/Bolt to Versailles, at an unreasonable cost, but the Viator representative said that was too much money and he thought I would be able to get a refund of my money.
I was told that it would take 24-72 hours for the refund. After contacting Viator 3 times asking about refund and 13 days, I was finally refused my refund.
I do not recommend this company.
I feel I was deceived into thinking if I did as their rep suggested, I would get my refund, but not only did I not get my refund, but felt ghosted by the company as well.

Disorganized and chaotic - Unfortunately we were not able to do this tour. We met our tour guide at 10:30 as scheduled. By 12:15, we were still waiting outside the palace gates in a mob of people. Our tour guide, although very nice and obviously stressed by the crowded situation, still had not obtained the entry tickets. With three kids on the verge of collapse from waiting in a tight crowded of tourists in the sun, we had to abandon. We were never quite told what the hold-up was so communication was terrible and ultimately we had to decide to bail out. And the kicker? Viator refuses to give us a refund even though they failed to live up to their end of the bargain- over $338. In no world is it ok to make people wait for two hours with little explanation and no assurances that the tour will go on. Had the tour ride actually had our entry tickets in hand, we would have stayed longer but it was all just a disorganized mess.
