A lot to see. - The tour was great. The guide was fantastic. However, after visiting the Louvre, Academia, & the Uffizi within the last week, all on Viator, I had seen enough art so for me a tour of just the Sistine Chapel & Basilica without the museum would have been better.

Reasonable - A reasonable tour, should have given more time in St Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican museums were quite disappointing……

Misleading tour name. Beware to buyer. - The title of this tour is very misleading! This is a Vatican museum tour with access to the Sistine Chapel. We did NOT get access to St. Peter’s not did we skip the line to St. Peter’s. The tour of the museum was as good as can be expected. But if you want to see St. Peter’s, this tour will not take you there. You will have to leave the Vatican and get back in line to access St. Peter’s. (Free to the public). We ended up waiting over an hour in a line to get into the basilica

Extremely crowded, rushed & hot! - Even with skip the line the amount of people they let in at each times entry is ridiculous! Even with a skip the line ticket at over $130 Australian you have to still enter and get paper tickets which was fairly easy then get audio set from second floor. Be aware they do not provide headphones and want more for that as well even though we were not told this when booking. This is not even peak season and it was not enjoyable. So many tour groups stopping and clogging up walk ways just a sea of people with very little air flow packed in like sardines. You are rushed through to walk through the Sistine Chapel can’t stop and look around just tour groups in the middle. Meant to be a quiet place and just full of guides talking away loudly. Again would have saved my money and not bothered with any tour when they let this many people in at once. Clearly all about making money now and getting in as many people as possible. Disappointing!

Almost passed out due to severe overcrowding - Almost passed out due to severe overcrowding, especially as we approached the Sistine Chapel: very unpleasant experience indeed. We were herded along like cattle and hurried through the Chapel. I was very relieved to get out. Sorry but we won't be back.

Don’t book - I felt the tour was rushed and we did not hear our guide most of the time. Very hard to keep up. We were supposed to get a guided tour at the Basilica and we did not. It actually was the best part of the trip.

A Complete Scam without a Proper Resolution - This was a complete scam and we were completely ripped off. First, we were expecting to skip the line but still waited over 30 minutes to get into the museum. The listing advertised a “small group” of 10-20 and there were definitely closed to 25. Once we received our radio head sets, one was physically broken and would not stay on my mother’s ear due to a malfunctioning ear piece. We advised our tour guide who brushed it off and insisted it was not broken. She spent most of her time holding it up to her ear to hear the guide, which was difficult because she walks with a cane. After about 15 minutes (before we actually entered the museum and were in the courtyard), my radio completely turned off and would not turn back on. While our guide had back ups, none of them worked either. She told me to “stay close to her” for the remainder of the tour, which later proved to be impossible. She quickly ran ahead with a complete disregard for me not being able to hear what she was saying as I struggled to keep up through the crowd. This was made even more difficult for us because my mother is elderly and disabled, so speed walking through a crowd was not easy for her. My mother’s broken headset also turned off, about 10 minutes after mine. Eventually, one by one the rest of the group’s radios stopped working as well. While our guide offered a vague, insincere apology, she offered no practical solution to what ultimately ended our tour less than 20 minutes in (of a 3 hour tour) after not having any guidance for the rest of our time there. As the crowd got thicker, our guide moved faster, so we spent most of our trying to keep up to be able to hear what she was explaining (which we couldn’t). We rushed past room after room of artifacts and art pieces with no explanation of what we were passing by, seemingly not even to those who still had a working radio. When we stopped for a moment to admire the Sistine Chapel, we looked around for our guide and could not find her or the rest of our group. We searched for our guide in the next rooms to no avail, eventually got lost, and were unable to enter the Basilica at the end as promised. We wasted much more time than expected, especially since we ended up at the entrance and not St. Peter's. I reached out to advise them of what happened and they offered me a 30% discount, which is a complete scam as we did not at all get what we paid for. Save your money and pay for a ticket outright with a self guided tour, you will be much better off.

Disappointed - This tour was too crowded. We still had to wait in lines even thought we were not supposed to. The your guide left 4 people along the way. We stood outside in the square for 35 minutes in the heat looking at signs. Then when we went inside we were rushed through and didn't get to look at artifacts. Guide fixated on certain aspects instead of a general overview. Waste of money and time. Want a refund.
