Great intro to Varanasi! Recommended! - For our first morning in Varanasi, we wanted to get a sense of the city. This tour gave us exactly what we wanted. We covered a lot of ground, and Ravi provided a lot of information on the city, history, spiritual, and customs. As a Varanasi native, he knows his city intimately and is very proud of the heritage. I would definitely recommend taking this walking tour.

Government approved, well informed and kind guide - We booked Ravi and were very pleased. Ravi is very honest, intelligent, well informed, respectful and kind. He’s one of the few out there who’s educated and government approved guide. We then booked a tour with him to explore the south side of Varanasi. He showed us beautiful temples and hidden gems. Ravi has endless of information of the fascinating city, and he explains in a very good and interesting way. He also made sure we always were safe in the busy alleys of Varanasi. Ravi also has good tips about shopping and food. He also takes good pictures along the way so you can get the memories on camera🤗 He has good, honest friends around the city who gave us good price on saris and sewing. Ravi’s price is also very reasonable considering his in-depth knowledge of the holy city. He has becomed more of a friend then anything. Thank you Ravi for a wonderful experience and the wonderful hospitality.

Varansi Unfiltered - Ravi took me around in the city after I had spent a couple of days here already. He showed me places I wouldn't have found myself, tailored the route to my interests and showed me all the facets of his buzzing hometown. As he is a knowledgeable, kind and fun company, time flew by and I learned a lot through good conversations without having the feeling I'm on a tour. Best tour experience ever! - I feel very fortunate to have met Ravi, a professional yet friend-like guide, during my travels in Varanasi! He took me through the alleys of Varanasi, explaining everything I saw and introducing me to many delicious foods! Unbelievable holiday in Varanasi - I had a great time together with Ravi. He is a warm person, a great guide with a lot of knowledge about the Indian culture. He showed me famous parts of Varanasi and also the small secrets places. Important is that Ravi knows where you must be at any moment. Sometimes early in the morning, and sometimes in the evening to make the most beautiful pictures. He knows the topical Indian restaurants with local dishes what tourists can eat without becoming ill. Excellent tour and great day. - We had a great day together with Ravi. Our tour lasted about 4 hours, which we walked trough the city, narrow alleys, and ghats. He’s a local and knows all sorts of things to tell you. It’s not just a guide giving you facts; it’s more like a conversation. You can ask anything, he is not in a rush, takes his time and does his job with passion. I was curious about where they make delicious sweet treats, even thought it wasn’t a food tour, he took us to a local shop where they make them and also tasted them. If you want a excellent and fun tour, we definitely recommended him. At the end, we enjoyed a cup of coffee, chatted, and he also showed us a good restaurant to eat at. Best local tour guide in Varanasi: Ravi S - As a female solo traveler I wanted to find a local and well knowledge tour guide from Varanasi and I found Ravi Sahni. I did 3 tours in a day with him and I could not have enjoyed and learned more from him! Ravi is an official tour guide from Varanasi born and raised. He is the real local experience itself. He explains everything of Varanasi perfectly and will show you hidden places that tourist will never find by themselves. A little tea-coffee break is always appreciated!! I did city tour and morning and evening boat. The boat are a must in Varanasi so you get to see in different moments of the days Varanasi from the river which is very different from the land. I really enjoyed the day and learned a lot. Varanasi is a magical and special city that must be guided or otherwise you won’t understand what is really going on in a such sacred and unique place in India. Excellent guide, look no further! - Ravi was outstanding! He is a government licensed tour guide, and is extremely knowledgeable about the city, sites, history and culture. He is reliable, friendly, and went out of his way throughout our weekend there, including adjusting times to our schedule, staying late with us after the regular tour hours, helping us with transportation beyond the tour, recommending restaurants and cafes, and he was available throughout our entire weekend on WhatsApp to answer questions. He’s a really great guy and fun to walk around with and talk to, highly recommend!!

If you must experience Kashi in the most genuine way, its with Ravi Sahni - The key difference between a good guide and a great guide is the passion with which they familiarise you with the place or a monument. When you feel at ease, confident and less intimidated, you can be sure that you found a great guide. This was my experience with Ravi Sahni in Varanasi or I must say Kashi. If you are visiting the city for the first time, it can be intimidating. The vibes, the traffic, the by lanes, the ghats can all make you feel overwhelmed. This is where Ravi came to the rescue. I found Ravi while searching for things I could do in Varanasi. I contacted him on WhatsApp and he was extremely responsive. He stayed in touch with us from when we started our journey, was welcoming and prompt. And after completing the walks with him, I must say that I made the best decision. He is the humblest, most dedicated, sincere and passionate person I have met in a while. He is a local boy who knows the lanes of Kashi really well. Despite the knowledge, the essence of the walks is tweaked based on client behaviour which he picks up quite quickly. e.g., you may be more interested in food and not the temples. Sensing this, he will focus on some of the genuine places where you can go to eat. He will always check with you and inform you before deciding on a place to stop, eat or rest. There is nothing that he will try and hide or misguide or oversell. The beauty in talking to him is the honesty in his conversation. He will tell you everything as is without exaggerating. He has a conversational style and takes a lot of pride in what the city has to offer. So, if that's your style too, his walks can become very engaging because walks aren’t a classroom, they are an experience and that is what Ravi provides. And he just doesn’t stop at what he knows. He is willing to listen and learn from us as well. He brings with him a sense of maturity and sophistication which I am sure will evolve overtime. Unlike what I have usually experienced of guides, he isn’t mechanical and isn’t looking to just “finish” the walk. He will go out of his way to help for any reasonable ask you may have.. I came away extremely confident and a lot more knowledgeable after interacting with Ravi and for me he has been and will continue to be the link to “knowing Kashi”.

Informative and amazing - Ravi was a very good guide. He knows the area well especially the way through the myriad of alleys and where is the best chai and dosa to be had. He was considerate, knowledgeable and passionate about his home town.
