Dashashwamegh ghat - Dashaswamedh Ghat:- Dashashwamedh ghat is one of the oldest, most spectacular and important ghat, located at the bank of the river Gange near to the old Vishwanath Temple in the Kashi. The literal meaning of the Dashashwamedh is the Ghat (river front) of the ten sacrificed horses (dash means 10, ashwa means horse, medh means sacrifice).
There are two mythologies about the ghat is that the Lord Brahma was created the Dashashwamedh ghat in order to welcome the Lord Shiva, and the second one is the Lord Brahma was sacrificed the ten horses in a yajna here. This ghat is famous for the Agni Pooja which is held here daily in the evening by a group of the priest who are dedicated to the Lord Shiva, River Ganges, Surya, Agni as well as the whole universe.

Our tour will start at the meeting point, from where we will embark on a 3 hours journey to discover the most important historical and religious sites. We will visit the Ghats, crematorium, temples, narrow streets, markets and popular food stalls, but also less touristic spots that are key to understanding the reality of modern Varanasi.
During our tour, we will be sharing with you historical information and other important facts but also telling you interesting stories about our daily life, our gastronomy and our customs.

An incredible hidden world - Vidya was a fantastic and amiable guide. He opened up the hidden secrets of this amazing city and completely altered my experience of it. I could not have found my way through the labyrinthine lanes and alleys to discover the exquisite treasures the city has to offer. Vidya’s enthusiasm and love for his home town is infectious. I can think of no better guide.

My favorite tour in India! - Badal is a really good guide- he knows so much about Varanasi, the history and current practices of people today. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. I have been traveling India for 3 months and it is my favorite in India.

Feeling Varanasi - We spent a wonderful afternoon in Badal's company. He really allowed us to understand the customs and traditions of the people of Varanasi by taking us to tourist places and introducing us to unexpected alleys and temples. Badal was very professional in his explanations, and it was also fun to spend this time with him, even though the places we visited were mostly religious and worthy of great respect. He did not lead us to any kind of stores and so we never felt compelled to buy anything; indeed, at the Manikarnika Ghat he was very careful not to let us be scammed.

Late afternoon visit to the Varanasi sect and its temples. - Great afternoon visiting with Badal. He took us to very remote corners and at the same time rich in spirituality. His explanations were remarkable and very complete. He speaks perfect English.
We felt completely safe with him. He was very flexible because we were 30 minutes late and that was not a problem for him.
We recommend to everyone!
