With a religious history spanning over 3,000 years, it attracts millions of tourists annually who come to take a sacred dip at the confluence of the three rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati. This city is renowned for hosting the famous Kumbh Mela every twelve years. The Triveni Sangam has witnessed the rise and fall of various dynasties and the generosity and charitable acts of great rulers like Harshvardhana. It is believed that many benevolent rulers would visit on auspicious days to distribute wealth to the poor, saints, and those in need.
Due to large crowds and traffic regulations, visitors may need to walk a few kilometers or take an E-Rickshaw, as cars or coaches must be left in the parking area.
