A few weeks before our tour on 9/17, I had sent 3 emails and left 3 voicemails requesting a Private Tour, but nobody ever responded. I did purchase tickets for a group tour because I really did want to take the tour (although I would have preferred the Private Tour). I was planning another appointment after the tour and I read on the website that the tours typically lasted 40 - 50 minutes so I booked the time accordingly with some room to spare in case the tour went a bit longer. Our tour guide, Rhonda, was nice and very knowledgeable, but was so long-winded that we were only at the first house in the first room an hour and five minutes later. At this point we had to cut our tour short because of the event I had planned after (I was unable to push our event time back). Needless to say, I was extremely upset as this was part of a birthday gift to my boyfriend and we both love Frank Lloyd Wright. What should have been an enjoyable and educational time instead turned out to be a negative and unpleasant experience. I couldn't even enjoy it because I was constantly looking at the time. Rhonda filled up so much time with uninteresting and totally unnecessary information - you could tell from all the faces in our tour group that she had completely lost her audience. I am not trying to be cruel, but it was a truly disappointing experience and we were completely gypped out of the remaining 4 houses. If I am able to finally get someone to get back to me and am able to book a Private Tour, maybe I'll do it, but the disappointment of that day and the overall experience has sort of ruined any enthusiasm I would have to come back. I hope other people had better experiences.
