Thai Nguyen - The tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning to begin the journey to Ba Be National Park. The drive along Highway 3, passing through Thai Nguyen City, includes a stop for a local lunch and takes approximately 5 hours in a comfortable vehicle.

Ba Be National Park - Upon arrival at Ba Be, the journey continues on foot along the Nang River to Puong Cave, situated in a Dao ethnic village. The hike proceeds through dense rainforest, offering opportunities to spot local wildlife. Reaching the summit provides breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside, followed by visits to Hmong villages and the day’s destination, a Dao ethnic minority village. Here, the host family invites you to help prepare a traditional dinner, cooked over an open fire and served with local corn wine. Participation is optional for those not inclined to cook. After dinner, enjoy an overnight stay in a traditional Dao house.

Trekking to Remote Areas – Ba Be Lake

Ba Be National Park - After a traditional local breakfast, embark on a 10km hike to a H’mong village, where time will be spent at a local school, interacting and playing with the children. The guide often brings sweets, pens, and notebooks as gifts for the kids. A simple yet delicious picnic lunch will be enjoyed here. Post-lunch, another 10km trek leads to Coc Toc village. This segment can be challenging, offering a great workout for those not in peak condition. Crossing Coc Toc Stream, you’ll observe local fishermen at work, and it’s an ideal spot for a brief rest and refreshing swim. Upon arrival in Coc Toc, check in at a guesthouse run by Mr. Linh and his family, known for their delicious and authentic local cuisine, which will be served for dinner before an overnight stay in a traditional Tay stilt house.

Kayaking in Ba Be Lake – Hanoi

Then, enjoy kayaking across the lake, allowing ample time to take in the beautiful scenery before bidding farewell to this paradise.
