07:00: Set out from the hotel, taking the ancient Roman route towards Tataouine.
08:00: Reach Khalfallah. Take time out to explore an oil mill if it’s olive picking season, or make a stop at the Chahbania sand dunes.

11:00: Continue on to Chenini, where a mosque centuries old lies beneath a towering cliff.
