Unforgettable day ! - Excellent day thanks to Imen and a top driver. There were 7 of us as a family and we took advantage of everything that was offered to us: Quad-Dromedary-Swimming in a hot spring with a local lunch in the dunes. Day full of sensations and a total change of scenery. Thanks to GSA.

Great Quad Biking experience in the Sahara and delicious lunch - The entire experience was great, starting with the drive to the various stops along the way. Quad biking or camel ride (you can pick either) is not included in the price so that is extra if you want to do some desert activities in Ksar Ghilane camp. There's a water body there too in the camp where you can take a dip - we went for the Quad bike experience and it was great. Two people can fit into one quad and the cost as of September 2023 is 30 euros. Camels can take one person at a time and the cost is 15 euros. The lunch was very good as well, comprising of chicken couscous with a killer sauce and a tasty brick. Lunch ended with watermelon.

Exciting adventures beyond barriers. - I recently went on a desert excursion that was initially not recommended for wheelchair users. However, I wanted to challenge expectations and am happy to share that if you are an adventurous person, this hike is doable. The guide and all the people I met were incredibly helpful and supportive at all times. It is important to note that during the trip there are no toilets reserved for disabled people, but if you are willing to make a small sacrifice in exchange for an adventurous and unforgettable experience, this excursion is absolutely recommended."

A very nice experience - It was a very nice day together with our guide-driver. We were able to see everything we wanted and the guide did it in a very professional and nice way. I enjoyed it very much and I learned a lot. Don't miss it when you are in Tunis!

Bus trip. Too much distance in one day. Excursions with 4x4 jeeps are better! - Departure at 6 in the morning. New, comfortable and air-conditioned Mercedes tourist bus. Other people from other villages are collected and at 7 we take the Roman bridge and leave the island. For 2 hours the guide informs us about Algerian history, economy, habits and customs. A treatise for school desks that more than half of the participants were not interested in or were unable to follow due to lack of foundations. After about 3 hours you reach the barren mountains (the "lunar landscape") on top of which stone villages and troglodyte houses dug into the tuff appear. We stop for 30 minutes to visit one. Luckily we were the first bus of the day and we were the only ones to enter. The next stop was not far away: a shop where you could buy the classic desert hat (15 dinars well spent) which later proved useful while driving the quads on the dunes. Another 2 hours or so to descend from the hills and cross the rocky desert. Arriving at the "Gateway to the Desert" of Douz, we got off the bus and immediately got on the back of some massive quads: being the first time I had driven one (with my wife as a passenger too), I was expecting a little training. “Throttle and brake” was the terse reply. Due to the size and difficulty of following the tracks of the "convoy leader", the experience was not exciting. 40 minutes of slalon up and down the dunes with an intermediate stop for the usual photos. Avoid the drink sellers and the kids with various pets who are there to collect a few dozen dinars. Once back, off by bus to a hotel for a buffet lunch: not bad. The drinks were not included but they cost a few dinars, more honest than in Florence considering we were in the desert! Along the return journey we stopped in Matmata to visit the hotel which has kept the set of the first Star War (1976) inside. This will excite fans of the saga but for me it was just a waste of time. Another 3 hours of travel and at 6pm I arrive at our village. My daughter did the 2-day excursion in the desert with a 4x4 jeep and a night in a tent: that was definitely worth the 170 euros. This costs around 80 euros but is for sedentary tourists...
