What will you learn?
Through Knowledge Development sessions (eLearning, 6-8 hours independent self -study) you will learn the basic principles and safety standards of scuba diving. Study five chapters of the Open Water Diver Course and complete the final exam via PADI eLearning prior to course start.
During the confined water sessions you will practice and master the required scuba diving skills in shallow water and get comfortable. In the four Open Water Dives you will use your previous learned skills and explore the underwater world.
You will be trained to dive with a certified buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

- You should be comfortable in the water
- Diving requires certain weather conditions. In the unlikely event the activity should be cancelled due to poor weather conditions, you will be offered an alternative date or full refund.
- Flying within 12-18 hours after diving is not recommended
- Minimum age is 10 years
- You have to be medically fit for diving. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions might prevent you from diving (no asthma, heart problems or other serious conditions).

5-star experience with Scuba Legends! - I took the Advanced Open Water and Nitrox courses with them, and the experience was more than positive.
First of all, the instructor Raúl is a genius; I learned a lot from him; he's very friendly and a great professional. And secondly, Lanzarote seabed is amazing, tons of underwater life (angel sharks, groupers, spiny butterfly rays, eagle rays, trumpet fish, seahorses, cuttlefish, etc.) and also wrecks—impressive!
A 10/10 experience!

Diving into the deep blue with Scuba Legends, an unforgettable experience! - I recently completed my Open Water Course with Scuba Legends in Lanzarote, followed by two fun dives. It has been an incredible experience! ☺️
I had a private course with my instructor, Raúl, who was incredibly patient, calm and clear in his teaching. He always made sure I felt confident and safe before entering the water. He truly cares about creating good, respond divers, and kept it fun the whole time. The best balance between professionalism and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable.
The gear and equipment were all modern and well-maintained, and the team made sure I was properly fitted and fully prepared before each dive.
Th marine life around Playa Chica really surprised me, it was way better than I expected. I saw seahorses, stingrays, nudibranchs, starfish, angelshark and of course so many colorful fishes!
Each dive site offered something a bit different and the visibility was great.
The whole team was friendly and encouraging, helping me build the right confidence and skills, opening the door to a whole new way of exploring the world. Inspired to continue, I’m already planning to take my Advanced course next :)
I highly recommend Scuba Legends for anyone looking to learn diving or just enjoy some beautiful dives in the Canary Islands.

Advanced open water course - After enquiring about the Advanced open water course with Scuba legends, the friendly and confident staff made me feel at ease. I knew straight away I wanted to complete my course with these guys.
A day later I was in the water on my first dive navigation, not being initially confident with this aspect Raul quickly put my mind at rest. Explained everything in my terms and I couldn't wait to get in to put into practice.
After that each dive came natural knowing my instructor made my experience comfortable, enjoyable and loved every minute.
The deep dive was something I was looking forward to and didn't disappoint.
Highly recommend these guys if your thinking of completing any aspects of diving. Novice or fun!
Definitely be paying them another visit soon x

Amazing experience, amazing instructors, amazing dives - We did our Open Water Diving License with Elva. She was amazing! Highly recommend Scuba Legends, highly recommend doing anything from learning to fun dives with them! After completing our license we couldn’t wait to get back into the water with them, so we booked some fun dives for the next day. As beginners, we were a bit stressed at first, but Elva knew how to calm us down and really took the time to explain and show us what and how to do things in the funnest way imaginable.
Also, got spoiled with the amazing Marine life in Lanzerotte, they also took us to the best spots.

Fabulous open water diving course - We completed the open water diving course with Adri, Elva & Tanya. We were a family of 5. 3 kids aged 21, 20 & 17. All the instructors were very patient, friendly & extremely knowledgeable. They made our 3 day course worth every penny. We booked 2 additional dives at the end of the week and again fantastic. We were blessed to see so many amazing fish, a huge stingray and an endangered angel shark. Can not recommend Chantel & her team highly enough.

Top address for OWD 🤿 - The preliminary information presented on the homepage already put us in a positive mood. Contacting them by email was super easy and even in German. We were given an individual offer within a very short time, and Scuba Legends was very accommodating.
We decided on a private OWD course. We would do the same again at any time. While many diving schools in Switzerland start in the pool of a swimming pool, here you go into the water directly at Playa Chica. That takes a bit of getting used to and seems a bit rougher than starting in a protected, covered pool that is independent of currents. But it's not that bad, the motivated and professional diving instructors support you and are always there when you need them. Our instructors all spoke English, which was no problem for us.
We felt safe at all times and were infected by our instructors' enthusiasm for diving. The equipment provided was technically flawless and of high quality. We felt so safe all round.
After getting our certification, we did a double dive with a divemaster so we could put what we had learned into practice. That was also very worthwhile. We were picked up from the hotel at no extra charge and drove to Playa Chica with our divemaster.
We were very lucky that our excellent instructor G.D., who had already accompanied us on the OWD, was our divemaster for the double dive. We felt very comfortable with him, which was very important to us, especially on the first dives. It was an incredible experience and we recommend that everyone do the accompanied double dive in the underwater museum with them after a diving course with Scuba Legends. We are still thrilled! An unforgettable experience and truly indescribably impressive.
The entire Scuba Legends team was always highly motivated, friendly, helpful and professional. The administration also responded very quickly to inquiries and problems. We can fully recommend Scuba Legends for our booked services OWD (private lessons) and double dive underwater museum.
