A Dive into the Unknown

As a marine biologist, the ocean has always been my second home, yet the thrill of diving into the unknown never ceases to exhilarate me. My recent adventure took me to the sun-kissed shores of Lanzarote, where I embarked on the Open Water Diver Course with Scuba Legends at Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen. The anticipation of exploring the Atlantic Ocean’s depths was palpable as I met my instructor, Raúl, whose calm demeanor and clear instructions set the tone for the days ahead.

The course began with a thorough briefing and equipment fitting, ensuring that every piece was modern and well-maintained. Raúl’s patience and professionalism were evident as he guided me through the initial skills sessions in shallow water. His emphasis on safety and confidence-building was reassuring, allowing me to focus on the joy of breathing underwater for the first time. The combination of confined water training and open water dives was perfectly balanced, providing a comprehensive introduction to the world of scuba diving.
