Tarangire National Park - Following breakfast at approximately 7:30 AM, the safari guide will collect guests from the hotel. By 10:00 AM, they will arrive at Tarangire to embark on their first safari adventure!
During the dry season, the Tarangire River serves as the sole drinking water source for many kilometers, attracting large herds of elephants. This makes Tarangire home to the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania for most of the year, particularly from June to October and December to March. Elephants are quite accustomed to visitors and often approach vehicles closely. This is entirely safe, as elephants, having no natural predators, are inherently curious and unafraid.
Tarangire National Park is also celebrated for its ancient baobab trees, which are larger and older than those in any other park in continental Africa. The landscape, highlighted by these iconic trees, is truly breathtaking.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - The renowned Ngorongoro Crater! Visitors will observe tens of thousands of wild animals residing in the vast crater formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. Despite its relatively small size, the crater boasts the highest density of animal species per square meter globally! Guests are guaranteed to see numerous animals in close proximity.
The descent into the crater takes about thirty minutes by car, with the route offering views of beautiful, lush forests and stunning scenery.
After the morning game drive around the crater, there will be a stop at the picnic area near Lake Magadi for a snack and rest. Lake Magadi is famous for the hippos inhabiting the area, providing delightful viewing during lunch. Due to its abundant wildlife and unique plant species, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its global natural importance.
