Sitatunga 13-19/2/26 - Bosco, Trek Leader - I have just completed the 7-day Lemosho route with a work colleague utilising Altezza Travel. We both travelled from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. This had been twelve months in the making which has been made seamless by the professional office staff at their HQ. I researched many travel companies, but right from the beginning Altezza stood out from the rest and this was evident at all the camp sites we visited. Our group was led by the legendary “El Bosco” and his band of willing, smiling, hardworking crew of guides, porters and ancillary staff. Bosco is an absolute champion of a human being, who has summited Kili over 700 times. Our group of eleven consisted of a league of nations – Aussies, Cannock’s, Yanks, Irish, German and Ruskis. We were alltreated like family and were all subject to regular medical testing twice a day to ensure our well-being in addition to being well fed and rested with the equipment supplied. As the eldest in the group, your safety and well-being are their number one priority. All of our motley crew made the journey on summit night to the top of Kili with the encouragement and support of Bosco and his team of merry guides. I will never forget there harmonious singing of all the group’s first names when our bodies and minds became fatigued to lift our spirits. I highly recommend Altezza Travel.

Excellent Mt. Kilimanjaro climb thanks to Altezza. - Altezza succeeded our expectations, from meeting us upon arrival at JRO airport to departure. Every detail was anticipated; every effort to offer hospitality was extended. The climb on Mt. Kilimanjaro was spectacular, thanks to the hard working team of about 48 porters, guides, cooks, cleaners, water suppliers, health monitors, toilet attendants, camp master and more. It was amazing how the guides juggle their own loads, plus oxygen should anyone need it, plus communications devices for logistics and emergency planning should it be needed, and sometimes plus one of our own packs. Knowledge, expertise, kindness, a sense of fun - all part of the experience. The tents were cozy. The pad under the sleeping bag was super comfy and we needed no additional pads or mattresses. The food was excellent; I want all the soup recipes. Breakfast started with porridge (warm, cozy) and continued with eggs, sausage, fruits, pancakes that were like crepes. Lunch and dinner always started with soup, the followed with delicious vegetables, rice in various formats, chicken or beef, vegetarian options, and fruit for dessert. How the cooks create such meals on the mountain is a mystery - excellent food and service. I'll remember forever the scenes and sounds (Jambo Bwana) of this experience. I highly recommend Altezza and its incredible people

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable Kilimanjaro experience with Altezza (Lemosho Route) - We climbed Kilimanjaro with Altezza via the 7-day Lemosho route, traveling as a private group of two, and it was truly one of the best-organized trips we’ve ever experienced. From the very first pickup to the final descent, everything with Altezza was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine warmth. The quality of the equipment, the camps, the food on the mountain, and the overall logistics was outstanding — far beyond what we expected, especially at high altitude. Before and after the climb, we stayed at Brubru Lodge in Moshi, set in a beautiful garden environment. It’s a peaceful place to relax, and the food in the restaurant was excellent — a perfect base before the climb and a very welcome place to recover afterwards. A special thank you to Natalie, our travel planner at Altezza. She was reactive, helpful, and always available — everything was smooth from the very first contact. On the mountain, our guides Regis and Marwa were exceptional: professional, calm, encouraging, and genuinely caring, exactly what you hope for on a demanding climb. Our camp master Victor always chose the best spots to set up camp, perfectly positioned for comfort and the next day’s hike. Evans, our cook, managed to prepare delicious meals every day — including some of the best soups I’ve ever had in my life, and certainly never expected at 4,800–5,000 meters. Hussein, our waiter, was endlessly positive and attentive, always smiling and eager to learn — we even taught him a few words of German along the way. Emmanuel, who took care of our private toilet, was honestly heaven-sent and saved us from some very strong-smelling public toilets. The porter team, led by Sifuelis, did an incredible job carrying all our equipment and bags, often reaching camp in record time. They are the real heroes of this mountain — without them, none of this would be possible. One sentence from a porter summed it up perfectly: “We met as strangers and left as friends.” That’s exactly how it felt. If you’re considering Kilimanjaro, I cannot recommend Altezza enough. This is a company that truly cares — about safety, quality, and, above all, people.

Best guide for Kilimanjaro - The hike has been challenging but fulfilling after all. The weather has not been the best due to prolonged raining season, however, Altezza and all the mountain supporting staff has done their best to guide us through this journey. The four guides, ie. Stamford, Julius, Paul, Charles, have been extremely professional in handling all sorts of situation and have given us tremendous confidence in final summiting. Step by step, they have fed us, cured us, guided us, cheered us, in the entire seven days journey. They, as well as the waiters, the chefs, the campsite master, and the porters, have made the summiting that much easier and the seven days journey that much of memorable. Unforgettable experience! - The Kilimanjaro climb via the Lemosho route in 7 days has been an absolutely incredible experience. As a solo traveler placed in a group of 15 people, the 7 days were filled with good vibes, songs, and great encounters. The Altezza team was incredibly supportive, and we were spoiled every single day of the climb.

Incredible Experience with Altezza (Kilimanjaro & Safari)! - Altezza Travel was absolutely wonderful to work with on our 3 week trip to Tanzania. Our travel coordinator Kristina was extremely helpful throughout the long and complicated planning process. She helped advise us on which Kilimanjaro route to book (We did Lemosho 7 Day route) as well as helped us plan a safari in the Serengeti afterwards and coordinated all the logistics from pick ups and van transports to regional flights. It was so nice working with one person to plan the entire trip and Kristina went above and beyond to answer our millions of questions, and also checked in on us frequently throughout the trip to make sure everything was going alright. Thank you so much Kristina!! Our guides on our Kilimanjaro hike, Bosco and Regis, were so kind and helpful during our week long trek to the summit (where my boyfriend proposed at the top!). We couldn't have made it to the summit without them, so a huge THANK YOU to them! We booked a private departure so that we could pick specific dates and it ended up being so nice just the two of us and the Altezza crew. There were around 16 total crew members to assist just the two of us, and each and every one of them were so friendly and worked hard to carry all our tents/food/bags and portable toilet (100% worth the add on cost BTW!) up the mountain. Big shoutout to Shwaibu and Pius for serving and cooking us delicious food the entire week! The entire crew was incredible - they sang us songs, told us about their lives & experiences on the mountain, and by the end of the week we felt like a little family. We were sad to say our good byes but they will always be part of our wonderful memories of summiting the world's tallest free-standing mountain! :) Our Safari in the Serengeti was also incredible - we stayed at Namiri Plains and it was so luxurious we didn't want to leave! We stayed for 7 days rather than swapping camps after 2-3 days and were so glad we did. We were able to relax a bit more, and got to see all the animals we wanted to (and so much more!). Our guide Augustino was the absolute BEST.. he found so many rare animals for us and made our game drives so fun and educational with all his extensive knowledge of the Serengeti. The entire staff at Namiri Plains went above and beyond to make our engagement trip special, we would go back there in a heartbeat! Bucket list trip made perfect by Altezza - This trip was amaaazing! Altezza is the best for climbing Kilimanjaro. The guides, porters, chefs, everyone was incredible to work with. They were great from the very beginning when my luggage (with all my climbing gear) was delayed and the Altezza staffer doing my orientation helped me find all the gear I could need from their stockpile (which luckily I didn't end up needing). The guides were so personable and helpful; they would seem to come out of nowhere at exactly the right places on the climb where we might need assistance. They carefully monitored our health. I'm not great at the downhill parts and they were quick to assist. I don't think Olympic athletes are better than the porters, who charged up and down that mountain with all our stuff. And the chefs worked magic with campsite facilities. The climb itself was not easy but do-able if you're in decent shape. I also did a safari with Altezza after the climb, which was equally great and well-coordinated. Altezza staffers were always available to help with any questions I had, and the detailed information they sent ahead was perfect for the planner in me. Highly recommend them!

Can't imagine a better experience for such an important expedition - From start to finish, my experience with Altezza was absolutely exceptional. Everything- from the clear communication to the flawless logistics was handled with professionalism and care. A huge thank you to Polina, whose communication and organization were outstanding. My pick-ups and drop-offs were smooth and punctual, making the entire journey stress-free. As for the Kilimanjaro climb, I truly cannot imagine reaching the summit without the incredible support of our guides Jackson, Adam, Mongi, Regis, and Filipo. Their expertise, patience, encouragement, humour of nameless Adam and genuine care made all the difference. The support they provided was beyond anything I could have hoped for and it truly felt like being part of a family. A special mention to Jackson, who made the climb even more enjoyable as we practiced French together along the way! Our cooks, Godwin and Osman, kept us energized with delicious meals every day- thank you for your amazing work and constant smiles. To my "cousin " waiter Pablo (hope you had an amazing birthday!) Who wake me up on time with delicious cup of coffee and to all 74 crew members and porters- you are the real heroes behind this journey. Your dedication, strength, and teamwork made the experience flawless, safe, and unforgettable. Thank you, Altezza, for choosing such an outstanding team of guides and staff.
