Perched on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll feel as though you’re stepping into a distinct realm – a secluded ecosystem that has remained isolated from the world for millennia. Venturing down into this verdant sanctuary, we’ll explore a unique habitat teeming with an extraordinary concentration and diversity of wildlife. This ancient volcanic caldera is a sanctuary for lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, zebras, and more, who have called it home for ages.

Following an eventful day within the crater, we’ll ascend to the rim for a delightful conclusion to our excursion – a breathtaking sunset overlooking the crater.

Ngorongoro – Serengeti

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Our journey takes us to Tanzania’s most venerable and expansive wildlife sanctuary, the Serengeti. En route, we’ll pause at a site of profound historical significance – the Oldupai Gorge. Here, extensive collections of ancient human fossils and numerous artifacts have been unearthed, offering a priceless glimpse into the evolution of humankind. It’s a revelatory stopover.

Next, we venture into the vast Serengeti – an immense, unobstructed savanna stretching as far as the eye can see, inhabited by throngs of wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, impalas, and home to thrilling groups of lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Our wildlife exploration commences across the Serengeti’s boundless terrain, seeking out the myriad of animals, including the tens of thousands of buffalo that roam these expansive grasslands.

Serengeti - Our expedition continues to Tanzania’s most storied and extensive reserve, the Serengeti. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at a historically significant site – the Oldupai Gorge. This location is renowned for its substantial fossil finds and ancient tools, which have shed light on the progression of early humans. It’s an enlightening visit.

But the grand Serengeti awaits – a vast, open plain that stretches to the horizon, teeming with wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, impalas, and hosting vibrant populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

We’ll initiate our game drives across this extensive landscape, in search of the wildlife that inhabits it, such as the over 50,000 buffalo that graze these open fields.
