Zagora desert horse - Ranch ZDH is open to interns throughout the year, catering to a range of skills from novice riders to those with more experience. The cornerstone of successful training is a blend of enthusiasm and a desire for further knowledge.
The aim is to immerse oneself in ranch life and explore the area on the back of magnificent Arab-Barbe horses. The unique temperament of the Arab-Barbe is sure to surprise even seasoned equestrians eager to encounter a new breed of horse and explore a new land.
1st day: Participants arrive in Zagora (travel costs not included) and are shuttled to ZDH Club. Here, newcomers are greeted, introduced to the staff, their accommodations, the horses, and briefed on the itinerary. If time permits, an initial horseback ride may be organized for the afternoon.
From day 02 to day 08: Two riding sessions are held daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Options include a trek (2-3 hours, inclusive of horse preparation) and/or a lesson. On each excursion, interns have the opportunity to mount various horses that match their skill level and preferences. Upon request, a full-day trail ride with a picnic can be arranged.
8th and final day: Departure… taking with you a treasure trove of memories!

Additional Information
We additionally provide half-day brush-up courses, which include horseback riding either in the morning or afternoon. Customized courses for pre-assembled or young groups are available too. It’s vital for the trainee to involve themselves in the ranch’s lifestyle to truly appreciate its everyday life and actively participate in the various duties of passionate horse riders, but that’s entirely up to individual decisions.
