Brilliant! - Brilliant from start to finish. Everyone was very welcoming. The Cell escape room was a brilliant experience, very well done. Will and Tia were super hosts and made the experience that bit more exciting. Will was very much in character. The history of the prison is so interesting and great to see. Thank you again. It’s a must see!

Do it! Great experience - This was a last minute decision to attend Shepton Mallet prison but we are so glad we did. From the moment I spoke to Jacob over the phone to leaving after our visit, we cannot fault it. Jacob was so knowledgeable, kind and funny. He made the whole experience of booking a joy and highlighted some information that made a big difference to the experience we ended up booking, so huge thank you to him. His customer care continued on our arrival, purchasing of our refreshments and until it was time to leave. He's a real asset to the company. We booked one of the escape room experiences - The cell. My son and I had done a couple of escape rooms but this was my husbands first. We were told where to wait and that a prison officer would be with us shortly. An angry one! Well, what a show. Our guard was thoroughly in character and quickly escorted us outside in single file! We got a talking down and marched off to our cell! We were given full instructions and entered the escape room. From start to finish, our guard - Will, was amazing. Fantastic in character but also very pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable. After our escape we had some refreshments and commenced our self guided tour. What a place! Great map and information throughout. Spent a fair amount of time in the exercise yard playing chess! Throughout our visit we had further interactions with both Jacob and Will, as well as other staff who were all very nice and helpful. We plan a return visit for some of the other experiences they provide and can thoroughly recommend this venue. We only had half a day there for our escape room and tour but could easily have stayed all day. We were there until closing as it was! If you've been thinking about visiting - do it! If your just passing through - do it!

Great escape experience - The whole experience was great. We were collected by a very aggressive prison officer from the waiting area and treated as convicts. We were locked into a cell and left to work out the clues by ourselves. If you get stuck you can press a button and the prison officer will come and give you a clue. You are locked in for 60mins. The clues were tricky but not impossible. I definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys a challenge. Our prison officer was Amy, who did her job very well and although nasty when acting, she was lovely and helpful when we struggled with the clues and at the end when we were let out.

Escaped? Still locked up? Fun in prison - The escape room cell experience was brilliant. We were worried that we'd argue but it was well paced and set up so that we always thought we could do it. In fact we didn't quite escape in time but Roger the prison guard was extremely helpful and we got out after an extra minute. Other escape room artists doing 'the hole' also really enjoyed themselves. The ticket included a self -guided tour which was fun and informative. Other engagements took us away before we could see everything. We'll be back

Great experience - can you escape?? - Our friends from Bedfordshire stayed with us over Easter. We wanted to do something different so booked the cell escape room. It was very entertaining, it was also pretty difficult and we thought we would not escape, we did though with a minute and a half to spare. After we did a self guided tour and really enjoyed it, so much to see and learn about prisons. I wound definitely recommend trying this is you fancy a new adventure. Ghost your next if I can talk our friends into it.

Great experience! - We had a really great time doing the escape room and enjoyed exploring the prison afterwards as well. The escape room puzzles were great and the staff - Amy and Will - did a great job of acting like scary prison guards but were really friendly and kind after we'd escaped and they were out of character. Would highly recommend!

Great destination for families with tricky to entertain teens! - We had a lovely afternoon on a self guided tour and in the escape room. We managed to escape just in time! Excellent, fun experience - We did The Cell escape room and self guided tour- shout out to Prison Officer Will for making it even more fun, he was great! We escaped with 15 minutes to spare ( and a few clues..) I wasn't sure what to expect but really enjoyed the whole experience, there was interesting information on the prison and as it was self guided you could take your time. It even kept 2 teenagers amused. The girls in Reception were friendly and polite too which was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Escape Room - The Cell - Defo do it! - The Escape Room was really good but quite difficult! Will was really good as the officer and helped out when we needed it! The Reception Staff were really friendly and helpful too.
