Dog sled and gold panning at its best - Working with Castle to book this adventure for my family coming in. Our driver Kayla was amazing and full of knowledge and always made sure we were having a great time. I would book this tour with the tour company directly and bypass Viator for a more personalized service. They are the best

Outstanding - Chris was an exceptional host. Informative and well versed in both parts of the excursion. He added a lot of local color at various other points of the trip. Dog mush camp owner, Michelle and her team were very welcoming and explained in depth the nuances of a sport that most of us only know of through movies.

An experience of a lifetime - My husband and I had the experience of a lifetime. Our driver Tyler was fantastic! We stopped several times for photo ops. Once at the camp we were greated with so many adorable puppies! You can tell that the sled dogs love what they do. Watching them jump and bark from excitement was contagious. The scenery was breathtaking. Even stopped at a lake to let the dogs drink and cool down! Panning for gold was neat, you're pretty much guaranteed to get gold flakes. A core memory for life!

Great tour - We had a great time. We were the first group there (yea!) so no one there yet, but because of they the dogs were EXCITED. My 8 yo, who is used to large dogs, was completely engulfed by nipping, jumping dogs. I literally had to pull dogs off. He thought it was funny, but know that pups will be pups and it could be overwhelming for you get kids not used to dogs.

Thoroughly enjoyable day - Chris was a very charismatic tour guide. Took us to some interesting sites and made the whole day very enjoyable. Loved the husky dog ride and meet and greet and the gold panning. We feel we made a great choice of excursion in Skagway.

Our guide Tyler was full... - Our guide Tyler was full of local knowledge and fun facts about Skagway and made the tour very interesting and entertaining throughout! The tour itself was great too, the drive from town to the Sled Dog Kennel was beautiful and Tyler made sure to stop for plenty of pictures where possible. The sled dogs were amazing and playing with the puppies was a personal highlight of ours. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Skagway.

Puppies and a ride pulled by sled dogs! - This was the BEST dog sledding tour! We really appreciated that Klondike tours offered a small bus with a max group of 15-20, as there were several large buses going other places. We talked to several others who went on different tours and this one was by and far the best. ❤️ Apparently there are 5 different “musher training camps” near Skagway, so tours go to different ones. At Iditarod training camp, we saw puppies, rode on a side by side pulled by the sled dog team, learned more about dog sledding, and panned for gold while meeting the owner and Iditarod racer, Michelle. It was incredible! Our tour driver Tyler took us to a few scenic views and was full of great information on the drive. Would highly recommend this if you’re looking for a sled dog adventure!

Fun way to spend the day! - Fun day with Chris our guide! He's very knowledgeable about Skagway, the area and the Musher camp. Chris knew all the best photo spot stops on the way to/from the camp. The musher camp was interesting to visit and cool to learn some facts about it and have a "sled" ride from the dogs. (I say sled as there is no snow so it is an ATV type vehicle). Would recommend this tour.
