Not To Be Missed - This is one of the Don’t Miss excursions if you are on a cruise ship. These trains have been refurbished and are a pleasure to ride in. The coaches have a brochure explaining the history of the route, a washroom, free bottled water, and once you are underway you are encouraged to stand on the secure/safe platforms between the coaches for the best pictures possible. The crew is outstanding in their ability to answer questions but also provide a detailed narrative over the PA system as you enjoy this most excellent 3 hour round trip.

I definitely recommend this trip. - Our tour guide was phenomenal. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. The graveyard was very interesting as well as the history of Skagway. The scenery was amazing and the waterfalls were beautiful.

Great overview of the area! - Our tour guide, Castle, was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable about the area. This tour was a great overview of Skagway. We had been here a few other times, but we saw things on this tour that were new to us. Definitely recommend!

Skagway Historic... - Skagway Historic Cemetery, Reid Falls and the ride up the Alaskan Hwy. The driver, Castle I believe, gave wonderful background commentary on all we saw.

Wonderful road trip - The tour guide was very good telling stories about history of the town and jokes. We were a small group of 12 people in a small van, which worked out better than a big bus by the cruise line.

Yes! You will enjoy it. - We had a small shuttle which was much nicer than the cruise ship tours, we had 8 people on our bus. The guide/driver did a great job, lots of information about the area, had many stops for photos and gorgeous sites. She was friendly and fun. Beautiful waterfalls, mountains and comfortable ride We also panned for gold which was fun if you never did it before. We chose this tour because we did the train last summer.

Scagway and white pass tour - Great driver. Had good photo opportunities. A small minibus drove us up the white pass and we stopped at multiple locations for pictures.

I would give it 3.5 stars. Slightly better than average. - We did the white pass train luxury class & although it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t as amazing as we had heard either. If you do this tour, the luxury class is definitely worth it. The tour guide was awesome giving us hints on when to take photos, the food was okay, the chairs were comfortable, & the free alcohol was great. The scenery was pretty, but the train goes up, then the train comes down. Glad we did it & maybe we got a bit too hyped up about this & that is why we were a little let down. Who knows. I don’t regret doing it, but wasn’t blown away either.

This is a tour bus with a nickel tour. Save your money - We got this tour as a cruise excursion and to put it nicely it was an adventure. First, the majority of this is a tour bus. So bring food, water, avoid using the John and don't sit in any other seat than the one you started with. Someone in the bus had a literal meltdown when a few people picked different seats after a 1.5 hour stop. Now the Yukon thing. Food was ok and you might want to get your fill. None of the other stores took anything other than cash and change was Canadian. No big deal but the world runs on cards. Stop number two no bathroom and no running water. We haven't made it to any train and we've been at it for about five hours. I'll update this if needed but stick to just train rides.
