A Perfect Tour! - We loved this tour! Our tour guide Sergei was knowledgeable, friendly and organized. It was a a busy day at the Peña Palace and Quinta da Regalheira, but Sergei expertly guided us through the beautiful palace and lush gardens. We had lunch (not included) at lovely outdoor cafe where Sergei made reservations for our party of 6. We ended the day with short stops at Coba da Roca (most western point of Europe with sweeping views of the crystal blue sea) and Cascais (an upscale seaside village). This tour is a great value and was one of the highlights of our trip.

Fun in Sintra - Sergei was a terrific guide for our visit to Sintra. There were 7 of us traveling together, and the air conditioned van was quite comfortable. 8 people might be squishy if all your people were large, but we were fine. We loved the Quinta de Regilera- it was so much more lush and green than we were expecting. Sergei had many interesting details to share which helped us get a lot more out of it than we would have on our own. He also showed us some fun little paths and winding tunnels under the springs that I'm sure large tour groups aren't able to do. That was damp but a fun adventure for the more bold of us. We really felt that this small group size was absolutely the perfect way to tour a place like Sintra. The Pena Palace was also very beautiful but in a different way. Less lush and green, but very fun and colorful with an interesting history. Sergei gave us the choice to do the inside tour or just the grounds and we chose just the outside because of the long wait to go inside. We still got a lot out of it and felt we made the right choice. For lunch, Sergei had made a reservation for all of us at a lovely restaurant with a nice patio. We ate outside before moving on. The beach town of Casais was quite pretty - we are from California so it reminded us of a sunny day in Santa Cruz, driving down hwy 1. Overall this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal and we would definitely recommend it.

A suggestion whilst in lisbon - A suggestion made by our Hotel reception to have a day tour to Sintra ,palace ,gardens plus view points on the way there . Leave at 0830 from hotel and return approximately 6pm . Travel was in a mercedes vito 8 seater very comfortable and our driver and tour guide was Dimitri . On the journey he pointed out locations and we stopped for short walks at these locations In Sintra it is packed with tourists and to get to the actual palace and gardens demands an uphill walk that could be quite hard in the Portuguese sun !! Dimitri understood this and did not rush anyone . He had a lot of interesting facts about the Palace and its beautiful gardens and made the walk worthwhile As stated returned to Hotel around 6pm Thankyou Discover with us and especially Dimitri! The cost if you consider it carefully is very reasonable and all you had to do is follow Dimitri no driving no looking which way to go no hassle !!

Tour of Cascais and Sintra in Portugal - This tour was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed in, in Lisbon. In the beginning my sister and I were reluctant to do it but then we booked the tour and I'm so glad we did. Our tour guide Dimitri was amazing; he was so friendly, so knowledgeable, so enthusiastic. We did everything that was promised on the tour and some more. Dimitri was funny, always ready to answer our questions and turned this tour into so much fun. Couple that with beautiful Cascais and Sintra we visited, we had the most wonderful day. We congratulate this company for hiring people like Dimitri. Very well done job and thank you for giving us such a good experience.

Great day with an awesome guide - The tour to Sintra, Cascais, and Cabo de Roca was beautiful and incredibly memorable. Our guide Francisco was accommodating and very knowledgeable about the history and sights we visited during the tour. We had such a great time with this small group and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon for a short period of time as we got to see and experience so much in one day. Quinta da Regaleira and Pena Palace were the top highlights of the trip with breathtaking views and cultural significance. Thank you Fransisco for a wonderful journey! We’ll be back to visit this beautiful country again soon with more family and friends :)

Great day out but lots of steps and uphill walking - Could not fault the tour but they need to consider when putting 8 adults in a van, it can get a bit uncomfortable for those particularly climbing in and out the back..also a microphone set up would be great as those in the back really could not hear the guide at all and missed the commentary so thats why gave 4 stars

OK tour if you want to do your own thing - I give this tour 3 stars because we hit a lot of places (Cabo da Roca, Cascais, and Sintra) I wanted to go to but the overall tour was very meh. We got dropped off at the sites and left to do our own thing. I think I would have preferred a tour guide to walk around with us and talk about the cities and history more. If I knew the tour was just going to be a van ride to each location, I would have just taken the train to Sintra. I didn't like have a time constraint with 1 - 2 hours at a location. To me, it didn't feel like enough time.
