Our exploration includes the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira and a local Portuguese lunch complete with wine, before an off-road adventure through Sintra’s verdant forests, finally emerging at the sea-facing cliffs of Cabo da Roca, mainland Europe’s western tip. We transition from the peaks of castles to the steep coastline of the UNESCO world heritage terrain, guiding you to secluded viewing spots and hidden beaches. Enjoy the wind in your hair as we venture off-road with the convertible top down during summer, while in the colder months we keep warm with the top on, blasting music, having a blast through muddy puddles, navigating past massive boulders, pine woods, and giant ferns. This exemplifies our love for off-roading, playing great music all day, and offering you a taste of Sintra’s local ‘travesseiro’ pastry and homemade ‘ginja’ liqueur. Jeep safari Sintra - We had a wonderfull day with Joao! He was a great guide, very friendly and with humor. We really enjoyed the mix of culture (Quinta de Regaleira) and nature, especially going off road with the jeep. Unforgettable experience!

So much fun in Sintra! - Ruben was an amazing guide. His love for his hometown of Sintra helped us learn about the town and palace. Lunch was fantastic and so was driving around the small towns near Sintra. A highlight was driving off road! Thanks Ruben!!!

Highlight of the Trip - My family and I went on this trip in July 2024. It was the highlight of our vacation. Several of my friends had recommended we do this trip and I am so glad they told us about this. Johnny was an amazing tour guide. My 21 year old daughter had a blast as well.

One of a kind experience - The most incredible experience ever! As a frequent traveler, the personal touch flaminGO adds to this trip is one of a kind. Not only did we see things we never imagined but, we heard a combo of historical facts as well as personal experiences. This made the tour not only super engaging but, memorable. Felt like family by the end!

Loved Sintra and João! - My husband and I had the best time on this tour! João was our driver and he made the experience so great. We toured Quinta da Regaleira and he shared so many interesting facts on the castle and Portugal’s history. He was also a great driver and made us feel extremely comfortable the entire day. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Nelson was a great, fun guide to take us 4 wheel driving while all the while learning about this fantastic place called Sintra. - A fantastic day with other like minded adventurous travellers (only 6 others as the jeep only has capacity for 8 people). Our guide Nelson was so much fun and knowledgeable. First stop was Quinta Da Regaleira where we learnt about the incredible well and other amazing buildings and surrounding grounds. Next was some sights and sounds of Sintra, a lovely lunch at a quaint village. Next was our 4 wheel drive experience (Portuguese massage) through the hills with amazing views and changing climates, then onto an amazing beach, more massaging and cliff top views and out to Cabo Da Roca and Cascais Beach where we ended our day.

Awesome day! - We had the most incredible day on the Sintra Jeep tour! Our tour guide Andre was the BEST! He was so knowledgeable and interesting and kind. Being in an open jeep was such a great way to see the beautiful scenery and views. The lunch in a local home was not only delicious but we felt privileged to be welcomed by such lovely hosts. The small size of the group was great. We felt so lucky to have found this fun and unique trip! Thank you!

You NEED to do this!!! - If I could give this 6 stars I would.
An absolutely breathtaking day exploring Sintra in an old military Jeep. Booking was easy and great communication from FlaminGO Experiences. Easy pickup in Lisbon, it all was so smooth.
What made this day even better was our guide, Guilherme (Gui) who was AMAZING!! Get this man a raise because he was fun, friendly, and SO knowledgeable with all things Sintra. He always made sure we were comfortable and cracked jokes with us all day.
Just wait until you go off-road in the Jeep, and the real fun begins. The beach and the cliffs by the coast were things we will never forget. The lunch was a true home-cooked Portuguese meal (get the octopus rice, delicious!) and was one of our favorite meals of the trip.
Next time we are in Sintra we will be booking another experience with FlaminGO and we'll be requesting Gui!
